I've posted before my general feelings on manager sackings. There's just far too much money in the upper reaches of the game for the 'big' clubs to consolidate when a season starts like this - almost take the F1 approach and just build for 2015/16. I expect Rodgers to go if he doesn't turn it around in the next 4 or 5 games, I think those odds are good value.

But in general I'd like to see managers given a proper chance when things go awry. Their start this season is no more Brendan's fault than was there remarkable season last time.

Piers Morgan was on 606 last night bleating on (for far too long btw) about how he wants Wenger to walk and Klopp to replace him.

I simply cannot see Klopp leaving Dortmund before this season is out - maybe next Summer, but all depends on how Dortmund's season fares. At the moment, they look very strong in the CL (but abysmal in the league) - so if they have a solid CL campaign - say, if they won it - I think he'd then walk.

It was £750k anyway, he just offered to lower it to £400k a year or so ago to help them with their finances. His notice period is paid at full though.
