Winston Biscuit Vieira's going to be in a bit of trouble I would think

If you go onto to the pitch and taunt the opposition then this is what could happen to you. Vieira will obviously be punished but the supporters doing the taunting should be banned for a significant period of time.

Expect you're right, but hopefully not. Little shitbag was right up in his grill.

Right. If someone did that to you on the street you'd react. Why should it be any different because it's on a football pitch?

Also LOL, the kid shat himself when Vieira reacted

Too much to ask that Everton get a points deduction for the pitch invasion so they're still in with a chance of going down on Sunday?

Always the same isn't it, they think they can do it because the player/manager can't do anything back and when they do they instantly shit their pants. Same as the fans who spend 90mins hurling abuse and then get all precious about it if a players gestures or says something back.

I thought you lot were not absolute fannies about pitch invasions and rightfully defending yourselves

Something has changed. Maybe supporting Reading has made you all soft because our pitch invasions are all high fives, hugs and kisses

I suspect the fan who did it was giving him all sorts of abuse looked like he was calling him a vvanker, viera should have knocked him out

If a member of the public enters the field of play illegally then as long as the players/managers defend themselves appropriately they should be exempt from prosecution/FA action. As far as I can tell, the Everton supporter was in Viera's personal space for at least 20 seconds and Viera felt threatened enough to defend his space with proportional force.

We saw the other day Ollie McBurnie overstep the mark by stamping on a Forest supporter who was already on the floor, this is the sort of thing the FA should be looking into, not Viera.

The Everton supporter is on screen breaking the law, he is in the wrong here.

Eh? Literally everyone is saying Viera was right to react.

Lol, hits the deck (like a footballer would), gets up, has another dab at Viera, then hastily retreats behind the crowd….all man

What's the point of what the Everton fan did? How does Everton staying up by winning that game have any real impact on a Palace side who are going to finish comfortably ahead of them. Great comeback and all but enjoy not going down and that's it.

You make a good point. I would understand if it were Norwich who had just won to stay up, it would be a great achievement for them. Everton supporters should be relatively embarrassed by their team being in a relegation scrap, certainly shouldn't be running on the pitch like they had just won the Champions League.

It's not even the fact it is Everton - but he's taunting the manager of a side where the result had no major impact on them bar a few positions in the table and the added cash. I could understand it bit more if say, they were playing Burnley and were 2-0 down to them putting them in real trouble but the comeback saved them and pushed Burnley in to more trouble but Palace are 13th and probably going to finish 13th.

Think the only way to stop the pitch invasions are either the FA fine the home/away team through the arse for not adequately policing their supporters or the EFL pay for extra policing at games where there is a significant risk of pitch invasion. Of course let the supporters on to celebrate but at the least block them off until the opposition players are off the pitch.

I find the mentality of the Everton fan quite intriguing tbh.

What on earth does it say about a person's character when at the very moment of euphoric, joyous celebration their mindset immediately turns to one of negativity, trying to find someone to goad, to project unhappiness onto?!

A side issue - Why are the away changing rooms still on the other side of the ground at Everton? If both changing rooms are in the normal place, lasts nights incident doesn't happen.

Stewards are instructed to not stop pitch invasions so they are pretty useless in that scenario. They needed police, at the least to stop the Vale supporters getting to the away end. From what I saw there was nothing standing in their way.
