I think City will still end up as Champions as I said at the start of the season when so many couldn't see past Moaninho (to paraphrase NFA) and his band of blues brothers.
With the spine of a team such as:
Hart
Kompany
Silva
Aguero
they arguably have the best players in the Premier League in those positions.
Great to see Liverpool play so well on Saturday but over the whole season I expect City, once Silva and Kompany are playing regularly,to go on and be champions again.

Tottenham could be the real dark horses to upset the applecart.

I'm not sure "dark horses" is quite the right term as a lot of (fickle) pundits are now talking about them as potential champions and not just top 4.
Personally I think they are very weak at full-back defensively and rely a lot on Eriksen and Kane going forward.
If those two stay fit and Dembele maintains the form he is finally showing that he had at Fulham they do have a chance but my view is that they will end up about 5th behind City,Arsenal, Man Utd and either Liverpool or Chelsea.
A very big game next Sunday will give us an idea of the chances for both Spurs and Chelsea.

"Weak" defence? Only one side has conceded fewer goals in the premiership to date, and only one fewer than Spurs. Can they keep their current form up? Anybody's guess.

It's a fair goal, isn't it? Or is it just me who hasn't seen anything with the whole of the ball over the line.

Vertonghan's injury could be telling as that defensive record is built around the centre half partnership. Levy doesn't strike me as the sort to pay over the odds in January for a short term fix either.

That looks close as well, but maybe not quite over.

One angle shows that it probably was. I think it was just over but fucked if the linesman puffing away twenty yards back is going to see it.

Had to laugh at the commentators last night screaming at how the ball was 'clearly' out when they had no image that even gave a hope of telling.
Unless you have a shot directly along the goal line it's pretty difficult to be sure and certainly the picture shown on the TV is hugely deceptive. At no point did the commentators even suggest that for the ball to be out it has to be completely across the line - no part of the all over hanging the edge of the line. The seemed to think that because they could see some grass the ball was out.
Hugely difficult for the lino, although he should have been on the goal line and had managed to get himself a few yards out of position.

The ball is over, but I can understand why the officials wouldn't have been able to spot it.

Have you seen an image that confirms that ?

Was the lino on the far side? Bit harsh to have a go at him when he's got the posts, net, defender and keeper hampering his view.

He was.
The posts aren't in the way, neither is the net (the posts are the same width as the line so looking along the line they aren't really visible and the net is behind the line ). Players are obviously a problem!
But as a Lino if you are stood on the corner flag you can see the ball in and out of play quite easily.
Not blaming him for not being dead in line, but if you aren't then you cannot make the call accurately.

That's typically a good rule of thumb. You see a bit of green between ball and line - ball is probably going to be completely over the line.

The few yards out of position will screw you because of perspective and parallax.

Shame. Preferred Everton to go through.

In real time it was definitely hard to call.

Seems weird this is getting more discussion than the obvious penalty on Cesc v Arsenal on Sunday. Moments later Matic gets a yellow for exactly the same offence but outside the box on Alexis Sanchez.

Suggestion in the pub was that managers get a video ref call. One per game, where footage can possibly be reviewed.

Looks fine in principle, probably full of holes.
