It is wrong to assume that everyone would know the significance of the combined letters / numbers tbf.

Fair I suppose.

What did this prick want to achieve by wearing it? A bit of reverence/respect from both sides of Manchester?

Doubt he was even born when it happened (notes the ‘young’ scowzers who revel in the Munich disaster obvs)

It's a weird, warped sort of "I'm a better supporter than you" logic...

"United fans hate the scousers, so if I do something that shows I hate the scousers more than anyone else that proves I'm a bigger United fan than anyone else"

I don’t imagine a lot more thought than "Lolz I'm an edgy bastard" went into it.

Only got to look at our own Brobot for similar attitudes. Though I assume his is all for the internet because "its not real"...

Agree, and a look through Twitter on these kind of things just sees fan bases replying with similarly pathetic and disgusting things.

For example, they'd probably justify it by showing a video of Liverpool fans singing about Munich or whatever situation it is that's being argued over

A man has admitted wearing a football shirt at Wembley Stadium which made an offensive reference to the Hillsborough disaster.

...

After White was arrested at Wembley Stadium, the court heard he was cautioned and told police: "You haven't even asked me what the T-shirt means.

"My grandad died aged 97 and didn't have enough kids."

As if we needed any more evidence that he's a collossal twat.

As suspected, he wasn't even alive when Hillsborough happened, so has no idea what it was like to be a fan in the 80's, the ignorant pcunt.

Less than 12 hours to go

Genuinely cannot wait for football to be back this time.

can't complain at the opening fixture either.

Promoted team at home Vs 'big' relegated club is your classic opening day tantaliser

37 minutes into the new season and Arbroath are already 3-0 down at home

I know Sheff Wed haven't had a good pre-season and Southampton are a relegated Prem side but they seem lucky to only be 1-0 down.

15 minutes total injury time played last night due to the new time wasting rules. Meant the ball was in play for 70 minutes. Average in English football is 60 minutes.

Will be interesting to see if there is a knock on effect in terms of average goals per game going up
