Let it roll, and then enjoy them choking in the playoffs once again

results really going their way at the moment too. They were the only team between 6-12 to win at the weekend, and with their games in hand they really should be in the play offs this year.

Not sure about Forest, as mentioned above they seem to be an odd team. Statistically they should be much higher than they are, but yet they are still outside the top 6. Granted that could look a lot different once the games in hand have been played.

I just get the feeling Forest are going to finish 8th.

they f*cked up the first 7 games under Hughton, since mid September when they sacked him they have been the 2nd best team in the division (just 4 points less than Fulham, having played a game less, since then)

Yeah I know they got off to a really poor start but, as said, they've picked up the 2nd most points in the division so you'd have expected them to be in the top 6 nonetheless. It's not as if some teams have played 3/4 games more than them either. I don't know, I can't quite work Forest out, they are strange.

Like Winny I had a top 6 bet on them after they played us when I thought they were sound at the back and were quick going forward.
Since then they have blossomed especially in FA Cup games against Premier League clubs and IMHO are nailed on for a top 6 finish so stick with your bet Winny.

I have a mate and next door neighbour who are Forest fans and they are delighted at the way they now play under Cooper compared to Hughton's safety first, second and third approach.

I see them as this season's Brentford and hope that they go up as they will offer more to the Premier League than Middlesboro, Huddersfield , Blackburn or Luton.
Unfortunately automatic is out of reach even though they still have Bournemouth to play (as well as Peterborough and Hull).

Luton would be the story. From a mess of a club, relegated out of the league to get back to the top flight.

+1

At least they will be newer in the league then the other 3.

Although I like wilder a lot as a manager, Darren Jones is by far manager of the year. Since he came back to the club they have done insane with no superstars and a small budget, but a team that is well drilled and played passionate football for him.

would kill off the Bournemouth/Swansea 'from div 4 to the Prem' rags to riches type stories pretty quickly, and so I am a fan.

Luton away could be good fun if we're safe and they're in the playoffs.

They were once a top level club don't forget and previous winners of the League Cup but not winners of the Simod Cup. :D
It would be some achievement and a change of manager has worked for a number of clubs in our division this season namely:-
Fulham
Bournemouth
Luton
Middlesborough
Sheffield United
Nottingham Forest
All of them have a chance of promotion.

Indeed Luton were but still, if they do win the play-offs this year, that would mean promotion from the National League to the Premier League in 8 seasons - pretty impressive no matter which way you look at it.

I wouldn't mind Luton going up just for a different side to be in the top flight.

Teams that are written off and are not seen as "modern top flight clubs" have been doing better recently. The likes of Brighton who are still there now, Huddersfield stayed up for more than a season, Brentford this season, Swansea were there for a number of years etc.

Forest Green Rovers have lost their star striker (23 goals for them) for the rest of the season due to a cruciate ligament injury. That having been said, with a 9 point cushion (and 2 games in hand) over the 4th placed team, and with 6-8 games left, they should have enough to win promotion if not end up as Champions.

 Kenilworth Road back in the top flight in this day and age - while, personally, I’d love it, would Luton look to share at MK while their shiny new plastic spakkerdome is being built?

In form Mansfield 5/2 to beat them tonight.

Luton's draw last night means that Fulham now need a maximum of four points from their remaining eight games, for promotion. If they win at Boro tonight, they can secure a third promotion in five seasons on Easter Sunday at home to Coventry.

Bournemouth in a good position too - 85 points currently the most they will need, but likely three wins from nine games will take Scott Parker back to the PL in his first season since leaving Craven Cottage.

And a good little stat this. Luton look set to make the play-offs this season - if they finish higher than 12th (surely), it will be 7th consecutive season in which they have improved their league position. No idea if that is a record, but has to be close to it.

Fulham still need 9 points because of Forest's games in hand. Their game against Coventry is on April 10th, not Easter Sunday. They could get promoted then, but only if other clubs lose games. Other than that, OK....

So it's quite likely that they will still need points when they play Derby.
