Sutekh And would Sal have been able to get any more out of the talent he has to work on than Dave Beasant? Can't see it myself....

I reckon he could get more out of Bond as he's shown how good he can be with talented young keepers

I'm certain he'd have instilled more confidence in him, and may have had something to say about whether signing Al-Habsi was a good move.

Not like we had any sort of conveyor belt of goalkeeping talent while he was here eh?

He'd be no use with Bond then.

Monk sacked. Silly, really. Swansea have lost their way a bit. So what. They aren’t in any real danger of relegation (one feels, watching them); unless the board is adamant that the club achieves European football this or next season, sacking Monk is a pretty short-termist approach.

Brendan to return to Swansea?

That's football for you. Liverpool sacked BR whilst they were in an ok league position. Reading sacked Clarke when they were 1 point off the play-off positions....

Not always what goes on on the pitch that causes a manager to be sacked.

Agreed. But I can't believe Monk was sacked for anything less than poor results. He is Swansea City.

I just think they want to get Rodgers back whilst they still can

He then needs to move to us, then back to Watford, back to Chelsea's youth team and finally to our youth team.

I would like that.

Brian McDermott appointed manager of Reading.

Jose Mourinho sacked by Chelsea.

Do days ever get better than this?

Shame new manager will probably save Chelsea.

I would say they do. Thwarting terrorist threats or saving a person's life. But each to their own.

I bet Jurgen Klopp is massively gutted he didn't wait a few months for a job at a bigger club. I'm sure Luton Town will find another decent manager though.

I think it's no coincidence Luton's manager has gone the same day Chelsea get rid of theirs.
