Bayern furious according to reports - considering paying Monaco to bring back Alexander Nübel from Monaco - he has always been seen as the man to take over from Neuer and if he performs as he has been doing at Monaco, Neuer could well find his path back to the first team blocked. If fit, he could even be shipped out in the summer as he only has a deal until '24 and at 36 only probably has a year or two at the very top level left.

Only six goals conceded this season by Barca, and Espanyol's goal on New Year's Eve the only one they have conceded at the Nou Camp this campaign. Fwiw, the fewest goals conceded in a 38-game La Liga season is 18 (Deportivo 93/94, and Atletico 15/16).

This is the first season they have done it. They have a 3 season contract for it
