If based in Harrow, as BR suggested earlier, skip the tube, and use the 183 bus for the Hendon game. If you pick Rayners Lane do not bother with the H10 bus as it is an easy walk from the tube station.

Thanks both. I'll have my car with me, so can drive, but potentially meeting up with friends who will be on trains/tube.

The Uxbridge, Enfield Town and Hendon games all look relatively easy to get to for the Tuesday night.

I'll see what my mates fancy getting to.

... terms of palatial splendour I'd go for Enfield Town - wonderful old art-deco type building set back from the pitch with a big upstairs bar.

Can't remember much about SJP (Hendon) but Uxbridge is fairly basic for STEP04 - probably easiest for parking, they have a huuuge Car Park from memory.

For the benefit of BR he will have to forego the palatial splendour of Enfield Town as the match on Tuesday has been postponed.

...yeah tough luck BR - Billericay (ETFC's opponents on the 11th) have taken up the option, offered as standard by the Ryman league, of allowing clubs to postpone any midweek league games prior to a round of the FA Cup.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
...weren't many league games on around here this midweek but quite a few Cup ties; League and County.
NAT
SH!ts 0-4 FGR - visitors up by 4 at the break - home club down to 10 men on 17'
Bromley 2-1 Woking - cards beaten in 89'
B&B Senior Cup 1st Round
Maidenhead Utd 2-0 Aylesbury Utd -opted for the lazy option and headed along the A4 for this. Magpies flattened the Ducks without much bother - mostly fringe and youth players given a run out by Dev and they came through with little trouble from a hard-working but limited opposition.
MUFC fans relishing the 1/4 Final tie in November vs old rivals Marlow just up the A404.
- in the same competiton there is still one 1st Round tie to be played next week - Slough v SYCOB winners host MK Dons.
Making up the remaining 2 quarter finals are Wantage v Hungerford and the 'other' Aylesbury v Chesham Utd
B&B Senior Trophy 1st Round
Ascot Utd 0-2 Highmoor/IBIS H/I go to Flackwell in the Q-F
Bracknell Town 2-1 Thatcham Town - Robins host Holmer Gn in the last 8
- the other two ties see Newport Pagnell host Burnham and Binfield welcome Windsor
Southern League Cup full round of matches in this - just a few to note :
AFC Totton 2-3 Winchester
Fleet Town 3-0 Farnboro
HandY 1-1 Hanwell - Hayes win 4-3 on pens
Kings Langley 1-2 Chalfont St Peter
North Leigh 3-3 Didcot - Nor Lye edge it 4-2 on pens
Petersfield 2-3 Basingstoke Town
Salisbury {TEN} 10-0 Dorchester
Slough {NINE} 9-2 Ashford Town
(WED) Kidlington 3-1 Supermarine
Hellenic Prem
Nomads 1-2 Ardley
Wessex Premier
Bashley 2-4 Whitchurch Utd - Bash's goals very late in the game on 89' and beyond 90'
Blackfield & Langley 1-2 Team Solent - leaders B&L surprisingly lose at home to the Stundents
Wessex One
Alton 0-3 AFC Stoneham
Fleet Spurs 1-4 Laverstock & Ford
North Hants Cup
Tadley Calleva 3-0 Andover NS
Thanks again for thanks - nice to feel it's sometimes worth the time I spend on here posting my rambling blither! :oops: :D
...and here's tomorrow's NL fixtures....
23 Aylesbury v Ware
32 Aylesbury United v Chatham Town
33 Uxbridge v AFC Dunstable
35 South Park v Guernsey
... never really got that inspired by the early rounds of the FA Trophy, so haven't bothered posting the full draw - it'll be on thefa.com if anyone wants to dig it out. Brum Royal It's looking probable that we'll end up at Hendon on the Tuesday night now.
...sadly the Anorak'd-clad-Deities have conspired against you here too BR, as Hendon have also taken up the offer to postpone their midweek game pre FA Cup.
... possible re-think needed as the league game at Uxbridge is also OFF, as Arlesey now have a Trophy replay at Chalfont St P. :| does appear as if the League Cup game vs Egham at Honeycroft has been re-instated though - doubt if it will feature full strength line-ups.
From what's left amongst the other possibles already mentioned, I'd place the club at Rayners Lane just ahead of North Greenford, on spectator comforts but the latter is a league game and will be less prone to 'squad' variations. The way Flackwell have been playing recently they might be minded to put out a strong team at Rayners La.
I wouldn't rule out Sun Sports as an option either if you are driving - another quite plush social club.
Finally - If it's football without any frills, there is one other fixture in West London on Tuesday that I haven't covered before
-SSMP London Tigers v London Colney - the only appeal perhaps is that the away side are top of the SMids Premier but be prepared for disappointment on the facilities front. It'll likely be a cathartic experience. :?
There really isn't that much on offer at Avenue Park [UB6 8GA] to appeal to the casual spectator, unless they've put in a major effort of late. Not only that the way in is itself a challenge, as it has a very well hidden-entrance, directly off the eastbound A40/Western Avenue, as you approach the Greenford Rd junction A4127.
At least they have finally invested in a gert big orangey red sign at the entrance to the Car Park.
~~~~~~~~~
...as I'm on here I might as well post up the results from today - couple of lower level B&B results not filtered though yet but I'll put those up tomorrow if I find them.

FA Trophy Preliminary

23 Aylesbury 1-3 Ware
32 Aylesbury United 4-1 Chatham Town
33 Uxbridge 4-0 AFC Dunstable
35 South Park 2-0 Guernsey
39 Wroxham 3-0 Godalming Town
42 AFC Hornchurch 2-3 Ashford Town (Middx)
44 Brentwood Town 1-2 Marlow
45 Arlesey Town 2-2 Chalfont St Peter
49 Royston Town 3-0 Egham Town
53 Bridgwater Town 2-2 North Leigh – att 109
- Was at this M5 blissfully incident free and we needed to tick this one off in the Southern League. Home side without a win and bottom behind the equally winless Wantage – took the game to their more accomplished visitors from just west of Oxford. Nor lye grabbed a very early lead but were behind shortly after to two neatly headed close-range goals from Jake Horsey.
- Visitors levelled on the hour mark and probably came closer but the sides have to do it again at Eynsham Park next Tuesday

54 Winchester City 1-1 Petersfield Town
56 Salisbury 4-3 Hereford att 1225 - 2 goals from Mills but ‘Bulls’ bow out of their 2nd major tournemant in a week.
58 Bishop’s Cleeve 1-0 Didcot Town
60 Farnborough 1-5 Barnstaple Town - not quite sure what went on here - suspect boro put out a much weakened side
61 Fleet Town 2-1 Bideford
62 Kidlington 2-3 Wantage Town - could be a bit of a morale boost for the 'Freds'

... with Anorak fully unfurled :mrgreen: ... as promised, here's the 'missing' B&B Intermediate results:

Amersham Town 2-2 Prestwood A win pens 3-5
Bracknell Town Youth U21 4-5 Winnersh Rangers
Iver Heath Rovers 4-2 Binfield Reserves

Away from more rarified NL levels, there were a few games of note this midweek:

'Local sides' progressed in their Trophy replays
Chalfont St P 6-0 Arlesey Town
Nor Lye 4-1 Bridgwater
Petersfield 1-3 Winchester City

SOUTHP
Dunstable Town 0-1 Slough Town
Hayes & Yeading 1-0 St Ives
Weymuff 3-0 Basingstoke Town
SOUTH1C
Royston 4-1 Beaconsfield SYCOB

CCLP - league games only
{Monday}
Abbey Rgrs 1-1 AFC Hayes
Sutton CR 1-1 Westfield
{Tuesday}
CB Hounslow 2-3 Guildford City
Knaphill 3-1 Windsor
- got to this - really enjoyed it - thought the 19:30 KO would be a challenge - traffic out of 'ding still f£(&ed even in the early evening and Bracknell was gridlocked around Twin Bridges, so did a quick out and round Gt Hollands/Wildridings to skirt some of it - arrived virtually on KO. Bought a Golden Goal Ticket (26') just inside the turnstiles and Windsor promptly scored - did the poor fellah on the gate, out of any more business! :lol:
- crowd was considerably larger than I'd expected est. 150+

- suppose no-one could contemplate putting up with the inevitable, staggeringly insipid, nonsense served up by Gareth BigNose, in his temporary run as Engerland Manager. Why continue to pick someone up front whose a) one-legged and b) first thought is to fall over whenever he gets inside the penalty area? :evil:
...anywhose back to Knaphill ...... both Car Parks full but got a space on the access road - the local estate there are very sniffy about 'footer oiks' parking in their secluded close.
Knappers visibly shaken by going behind so early on. Windsor went very close a couple of times in the first half but their forays upfield grew less as the game progressed. The hosts gathered themselves together and started to build waves of attacks on their visitors - especially down the left. In spite of some great work by Sobte the young Windsor Keeper, they finally buckled just before HT and conceded two more in the 2nd half both from crosses whipped in from the left; indeed their first two goals were both from corners.
- In fairness I think Knaphill were probably worthy winners and leap up to 3rd place; although their record is W8 L7.

North Greenford {EIGHT} 8-0 Cherstey Town - only NGU's 2nd league win of the season too.
Spelthorne Sports 2-1 Walton & Hersham - W&H's first defeat
{Wednesday}
CWU 3-0 Bedfont & Feltham

Wessex Prem
Andover 2-2 Horndean

Shorey and Harper turning out for Bobby now then.

Hungerford Town He gained vital Premier League experience in his time in Berkshire, making more than 300 appearances in the English top-flight over the Royals two-season stay.

That's a pretty impressive run of games in just two seasons.

Agreed that Knaphill were worthy winners. They don't bother much with midfield though! Hugo Sobte had a very good game except for their 1st goal he rather palmed his diving save out which gave the follow up shot a relatively straightforward opportunity. Knaphill's keeper was not troubled all that much.

As for Golden Goal - advertised as £30... my mate won it but was only given £15 the excuse being that the payout is governed by how much they take! Fcuking outrageous if you ask me!

Nice

Looking forward to seeing who Westfield get
