SSN saying their 'sources' are suggesting Rogers is close to taking the Liverpool job - if I was Gylfi I'd hang on a couple of weeks, 'cos if so he'll be first on the list for Anfield.

M Brook Rodgers threatening to quit Swans, by resurrecting old LOLiverpool story, if cash not forthcoming for Gylfi signature. He knows he needs to force the issue now cos once the TSI deal is finalised at Reading - due next week apparently- the Royals will be able to outbid him.

BBC Football:
Swansea City sign Gylfi Sigurdsson from Hoffenheim
Swansea City and Hoffenheim have agreed a fee of about £7.2m to sign loan midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, BBC Wales Sport understands.
The Icelandic international and Swansea are expected to have talks regarding his personal terms this week.
Sigurdsson joined Swansea in January on loan from the German club until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old impressed during his spell at the Liberty Stadium and scored seven goals in 17 starts.
Hoffenheim signed Sigurdsson from Reading, Swans boss Brendan Rodgers' former club, for £6.5m in 2010.
Swansea's initial bid, thought to be close to £4m, was rejected by the Bundesliga club who appear to want to at least recoup the fee they paid for Sigurdsson.
The Welsh club earned £45.9m during their successful season in the top-flight from television and prize money, finishing 11th in the table, and so have funds to strengthen the squad.
Sigurdsson said in April he would be happy to stay at Swansea beyond the end of the current season.
But Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins had admitted the Welsh club would struggle to keep hold of the midfielder.

Avon Royal To be fair the BBC article doesn't actually say he's signed (despite the title), as personal terms still to be agreed.
Our failure to bid is simply shocking.

'Greed. We're being really stupid not blowing a large proportion of our budget on one player when pretty much every position needs strengthening.
Nicky and Brian out.

winchester_royal Nonsense, if we establish ourselves as a premiership club in the next 2/3 years we'll be in a position to sign quality regularly.

We're in the position to sign quality players now. There is no use sticking with the players we have now because "they're all good chums". Brian needs to be ruthless and cut this "I'll go and find some gems from the lower leagues" crap and spend some of our Russian Roubles to ensure we stay up.

Royal Rother This hand-wringing crap is incredibly pathetic.
In case you haven't noticed,BM / NH / the club know what they are doing.
Have a little faith for God's sake.
