Whoever we are watching we must be fairly serious to send McDermott, Hammond and Shorey although it is a very short journey of course.

Fordham can presumably see the same match we are all watching that's showing BMD and NH.

Apparently it's not the 6 goal Rhodes we are interested in, but apparently the Wycombe centre halves are both being given p45's after this display. Suspect Hammond has a shiny 50p and a bag of sweets and a cunning plan to sort some 'quality' defensive cover.

Surely we could give them a decent offer and throw in Manset?

Simon's Church If he does leave this month it'll be to the Premiership or possibly West Ham.

Yes, because you decide.
You remind me of these stock market experts, "British Petroleum WILL go up £1"..

Can't see that Beavon would be a progressive signing. Like everyone else I can only guess but maybe Matt Bloomfield or Danny Ward could be their target.

They're looking at John Halls. Cover for Harte and Griffin.

Ideal Go home, negative Nellie.

Not negative just realistic.

Anyway, from what I saw he spent most of the game running around with slackjaw, he looked like a oxf*rd inbred. I, for one, am glad we can't afford him.

I'm not convinced we were really in it prior to tonight anyhow. 6 months to a year too late; far bigger fish than us are interested now.

1. Lee Clark has said Rhodes is NOT going to leave in this window for any other club
2. Even if he did we would not pay in excess of the 3 million required to attract his services
3. There were 8 Premiership clubs scouting there last night so what hope in hell would there be of him coming to Reading ahead of all those clubs if they showed an interest.
4. There were more players than Rhodes there last night, what's the betting we were scouting someone much more within our budget and aspiration level - Stuart Beavon Jnr perhaps.
