Diddyroyal Maybe he just isn't that good? And that's the reason no other club has come in for him, To be honest most of swanseas team looked class last season, as a team they are great but indivdually are they? , a few ex Reading players have proved this theory.
Yes sig is class, but he didnt quite set the world alight in Germany, maybe has put a few of the bigger teams off

Avon Royal It's not Gylfi's fault we didn't bid for him.
It's so sad that Swansea have more ambition than us. Maybe he's better off with them.

I disagree, a lot of people have said he didn't set the world alight in Germany, but he was voted in the Bundesliga team of the season by his fellow professionals in his first season I believe. He obviously didn't see eye to eye with the Hoffenheim manager that came in last summer hence the loan move to Swansea, but the Hoffenheim fans at that time really weren't happy to see him go.
I can't believe the fee is only £6.8m. For Hoffenheim too make just a £300k profit on Gylfi (minus our clause fee) having him been a standout player in his first season and had a fantastic loan spell in England in his seconfd beggars belief.

Makes you wonder just how good a judge of player a bunch of interweb blokes hundreds of miles away really are when the top clubs don't go for him, the transfer fee is little more than we sold him for and his club in Germany are very happy to offload him
Maybe those on the inside know more about him than those that aren't

Swansea could be about to spend £7m on one player. We on the other hand have an ambitious budget, are planning to expand to 38,000, build a new top of the range training ground, and upgrade the academy to cat 1 status? I would argue we are showing more ambition currently.

And there we have it.
People who accuse the club of lacking ambition are beyond dim.
