FiNeRaIn
Royal Rother Not heard the cancer jibe story before. If true, then scum too.

http://www.wsc.co.uk/content/view/114/28/

"Only with Wally Downes does Ollie eschew praise with faint damnation in favour of a full-on, and fully deserved, kicking after the former Wimbledon man cracked wise about the new boy’s wife’s chemotherapy."

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2007 ... ry.sport10

"When Holloway was struggling at Wimbledon and Brentford in the mid 1980s, Kim developed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and had to undergo chemotherapy. 'What's it like dating a baldy bird?' asked the ever-charming Wally Downes, a team-mate at Wimbledon."

However I think calling either him or mourinho "scum" is over the top. People make mistakes by doing and saying stupid things they regret.

Really, sounds pretty accurate to me.

Might sound pretty accurate to you Ian, but you never sit in the middle of anything you always take the extreme view.

I don't declare a human being as " scum" for incidents like that. But I think both cases are cringe worthy and the individuals acted poorly.

You can understand Ollie's anger with that, entirely. I'd have a strong dislike of someone if it was said to me.

For the rest of us, we can only speculate if this is typical of Wally's personality. I'm sure we've all said horrendous things we're ashamed of; Wally could feel the same. If that's his standard sort of gag, then yeh he's a massive twat.

1005: FOOTBALL - Wales supporters are set to outnumber their Bulgarian hosts for tonight's qualifier, with the home side selling less than 50 tickets so far.

LOLz.

tbf it's a fairly decent protest. I can't imagine England fans getting wound up enough about anything to show that solidarity.

Kevin Doyle sent off for Ireland for a 2nd booking. Slightly harsh IMO.
