Nameless I wonder what obligation the FL. have to accept QPR anyway.
Whether the rules are 'legal' is one of the hing, but there is no dispute that QPR massively overspent and deliberately flouted the rules as they were understood at the time, and made no efforts to challenge them.
Are the other Championship clubs obliged to accept relegated sides or could they decline to accept QPR, perhaps offering their place to the team finishing 4th from bottom in the PL.

Lol, I'm sure that would go down well.

Im sure fat Tony will get his best lawyers on the case and escape any punishment. Just like they did when they won the league under Warnock.

My bet will be that they will get a reduced fine, say £10 million.

Whatever the outcome, the FPP will take a hit.

In the opposite direction does anyone know if a team that finishes in a promotion position is obliged to go up?
It may sound a bit daft but I think the Championship is a cracking division and those who go up can suffer longer term. The Prem is too money-focussed to the exclusion of all else. I half-jokingly said in 2006 that we should have elected to stay down. We had a much better case for staying down last promotion.

QPR's original press release re the accounts said that costs had reduced by £22m mainly driven by reduced player costs.

Bollocks.

Wages reduced by just £700k but actually when you take into account Player Contract Amortisation and Loss on Player Trading the total costs actually rose by £2m+.

That's nice. I am sure League 1 will be equally as friendly next year.

They will have saved on Rosie's wages for the last third of the season.

I read that as they'd welcome them paying the fine.

Didn't it get a bit tasty though, with some QPR players a little worried.....?

Fat Tony splashing the cash already. The insurance must have paid up from his latest plane crash.

Getting their business done before any Football League FFP sanctions (transfer embargo?) take effect.

Not a bad prospect either

TBH - that's the calibre of player they should be buying. Not the highly paid mercenaries/failures they've been spunking the cash over in the last few years.
