I dont think he is laughing at the moment. Then again, if he had recognised he had a gambling problem, sort to go through a recognised procedure of self exclusion and the betting shop, despite knowing this, still let him bet big money. I think they should share some of the burden though I think it ludicrus that he should be seen as totally excused from fault.

Fair result would be shared responsiblilty and that betting agencies do have a duty of care to those recognised as having gambling addicitons.

but this new account was in his own name, so its not as if he was using a pseudonym or someone elses details. They have the technoloyg and his details to know it was him.

Had he won then there, arguably, would not have been harm suffered to anyone so know need for action.
