Snowflake Royal Have to agree with the MotD analysis.
Wasn't so much the high line that was dangerous, it was the lack of pressure on the ball to give time to play the right pass in behind.
Plus Liverpoop regularly had their deepest defender nowhere near the pacey dangerman.
There was one break where it looked something like this at the halfway line ffs

Switch it to this and there's far less problem.

Fair play to Klopp, smiling at how bad it was and how Villa put them to the sword, then congratulating Villa with a wow. Should have put a fix in by at least HT though.
Didn't see MOTD but that's the way I saw it.
In the games against supposedly better teams in Chelsea and Arsenal the front 6 worked like mad over the whole 90 minutes in closing down the opposition but in the Leeds game and more so yesterday it was if complacency set in and they didn't feel that they needed to do us much and everything would just turn out right in the end.
70:30 possession for Liverpool which hopefully puts to bed the argument that possession is all that matters.
Hopefully this is Liverpool's Watford moment from last season and will be a wake-up call and what better game to get back on track than the Merseyside derby that is their next fixture.
In that game I expect that Gomez will come out of the firing line and if Matip is still unfit Fabinho will play at the back.
The midfield 3 then becomes Henderson, Tiago and Wijnaldum with Mane returning up front.
Alisson also would be heartily welcomed back.
BTW Jack Grealish did his England chances no harm at all and maybe at last the doubters will accept that he is , in English football terms, top class.
