This season's definitely getting a ring of Newcastle about it. Time to bring in Keegan? :)

Is there any bottom three that would make you smile more than the current three?

Typical football fans-no praise for Blackpool, just lolling about Liverpool.
It was the same yesterday with Sunderland who could have scored 5 or 6 v Man Utd and the comments were all about Man Utd having an off day whereas it should have been about Sunderland.
In the space of about 3 weeks Scholes has gone from being a contender for footballer of the year to just a little old ginger bloke playing one season too many.

BTW I have cleverly (?) done a Fergie and diverted attention away from the poor result for the club I care about just like he does and I suspect it was all the fault of the ref,the tea-lady or the programme-seller rather than the players.

Tony Le Mesmer Liverpool may have a great history, but so do a lot of teams playing outside the Prem.

I honestly think Liverpool are heading for oblivion within 5 years. The way finances are in the game, 2 years without CL football and they wont be back for a very long time. If Newcastle and Leeds can go down, so can Liverpool. That might seem a bit OTT, but they have such massive debts that once the rot sets in they are only heading one way. Gerrard & Torres to leave within a year, and no CL lure or financial clout to replace them

Think i might need to correct myself when i said within 5 years.

Honestly, its still early days but when clubs run up such insurmountable debts, theres no end to how bad things can get. Even for Liverpool.

Didn't see it but I very much doubt he was crying - he's always had watery eyes.

Oh and there's no doubt whatever that Liverpool could go down a couple of divisions.

Put it this way, the Tories>Arsenal>Chelsea these days.
