Yep - I don't watch nearly enough top level football in any one year to have any kind of sensible views on it, but it fills in a gap when you've run out of other things to talk about.

No doubt soggy has chose not to post his own team because it will be filled with unsung gems that our narrow footballing minds know nothing about...

No Robben in anyone's team? Bizarre.

From the options on there:-

Cesar

Maicon
Lucio
Puyol (c)
van Bronkhorst

Robben
Xavi
Sneijder
Iniesta

Messi
Villa

What's so bad about van Bronckhorst's jennies that they need censoring?

Robben - CL & WC final (and starring in both tournaments)
Ronaldo - Erm, runners up league medal?

I accept that medals and trophies aren't the be all and end all but Robben has had an astonishing year since he came back from injury. Given that these awards always put more value on WC performances, there's no competition. Was Ronaldo even at the WC?

I don't really know what these are based on. Robben had a decent World Cup when absolutely required, but was either injured or anonymous for much of his domestic season.
