paultheroyal Hughes will be gone by Monday/Tuesday once this Grand Prix weekend.

Redknapp installed by Thursday. Quite clearly wants the job.

Let's just hope they are dead and buried before January.

agreed they are one of the worst teams I've ever seen in the Premiersip and you have to just laugh at the way QPR pretty much buy a whole new team every transfer window yet are still crap.

Do you think it would be good news or bad news for Reading if Harry takes over at QPR?
I think it is not good news for Reading.

'Arry's track record is that he will demand from his Chairman an unlimited player budget, and will get a load of players into the club come January; the existing players know this, so will know regardless of what they do, they know aren't going to feature highly come 1st Feb so why REALLY put themselves out for the next 5 or 6 games???

Also, 'Arry will bring Barton back into the fold; thats bound to help with team spirit.

The new players 'Arry brings in will inevitably take time to settle, and, as at Southampton, it won't matter to him if QPR get relegated as he - and his media apologists and propagandists - will say that it was an "impossible" job and that Hughes had left to great a problem to solve in a few weeks.......

Redknapp is the LAST manager you want in this situation (ok, 2nd last - Terry Conner is even less likely to produce a lazarus-like comeback); his "strength" would be in an established team with the need for a "charismatic" manager and with a blank cheque book available - West Ham would fit the bill......

Think the QPR situation is nearer to the Spurs situation he inherited from Ramos than the Southampton one to be honest.

QPR really shouldn't be where they are based on personnel. He showed at Spurs he can get talented players who are underachieving to play up to their ability. Fernandes will back whoever is manager in the transfer window anyway and you'd have to think if it is Redknapp he'll make far better use of the money than Hughes.

That's your dissertation on good old 'arry and it will be interesting to see how it all pans out.
FWIW I think the opposite-he would (will) get them playing for the shirt (as they say)with a totally different approach to that of Hughes and I worry that would not be in the best interests of RFC.
He might even get that apparent lump , Anton Ferdinand,to play like he did when he first got into the West Ham team rather than the lumbering idiot that he now looks.

Although Juve were the better team, they scored with two deflected shots and a very poor decision from the keeper for the third.

They created quite a lot of chances against that dodgy Chelsea back four though.

Di Matteo's record at Chelsea, the backs to the wall Champions League victories apart, isn't really any better than AVBs is it? With Guardiola making it known he's pretty much back in the market the pressure on Di Matteo is building.

Stunning level of ingratitude, even by Abramovich standards, after last years success.

How much money will they be bunging Pep Guardiola?

One thing you can say about Chelsea is that you always think they will get better but they never fail to surprise. They really are the c*ntiest club in England.

He was but why give him a 2 year deal in June?

Surely he needs more than 4 months to build the team he wants/needs

Knockout punch from Lux.

Aways thought that RDM looked a bit shifty. But still, what a shambles of a club.

Lacoste

Abramovich buys the players and if the manager can't mould them into a winning side within 4 months he sacks him.

Talk of Benitez coming in just to get the best out of Torres - Roman just can't give up on his failed investment.

Horrible club.

I have always thought Chelsea were in fact secretly managed collectively by a internet football message board.

The evidence:

- Instant success or manager fired
- Spend ludicrous amounts of money every window
- Have no thought to the long term financial viability of the club
- Buy whichever over-rated striker spends the most time on SSN
- Demand that the playing style be that of Brazil 1970 at all times

In fact I think Roman may just be Royal Blue.

If he didn't at least have the air of a permanent manager then the players would probably have shown less willingness to listen to him.

The two years might even have just been the minimum he'd sign or seen as his reward for the FA Cup and CL wins.
