McCarthy has been sacked.

I was almost as surprised when I head Dara O'Briain was Irish.

They stuck with him for at least 3 games too many didn’t they?

Can't believe Fat Sam is getting overlooked again.

He missed a trick not going with that Allardici name-change.

Who wouldn’t love to see Allardyce to Barcelona as manager?

Anyone connected to Barcelona?

I'd like to see Allardyce in Serie A, but only because he loves winding Mourinho up.

I think Xavi will end up there eventually.

They have to get rid of as much deadweight as possible and start again building on their excellent youth players, they'll be back up the top of the league within a season or two.

Disagree to a point - i think they are toast for awhile. Unless they have an amazing academy they will now enter the Man Utd phase - lost all that talent and will have to buy again to be competitive. Thing is they will be no different to any club who are in similar predicament.

When I say top of the league I mean Champions League positions, they'll take a good while to get to the stage of challenging for the Champions League etc. They still have a fairly decent core group of players there, should be more than capable of finishing in the top four in a league that isn't what it used to be. You can do a lot worse than Fati, Pedri and Gavi. Can't even say great potential with those three, they already are fixtures in the Spain squad.

They need to find a goalscorer pretty quickly, if they can unearth a gem from the academy it will go a long way to getting them back on track sooner.

Won't they be a target for the richer clubs to come along and snap up their talent for bigger salaries ?
They'll have to work out whether sticking to a release clause and having an unhappy player is worth more than taking the money.
If they do then the next youngster may not be so keen to sign if they think they going to be 'stuck' (can't believe I've typed a sentence that includes getting stuck at Barca)

Welcome to the second tier clubs view of life (second tier of club wealth, not divisions).

Yep

But one result doesn’t put OGS that far from the same
Lose to Atalanta and get a stuffing in the derby and they’re back to square one

Such an awful appointment, desperation appointment in fact. They should pursue Graham Potter imo, like what he's doing at Brighton.

Still think they should do what it takes to get Conte. They need a manager to shit up the players who haven't shifted their weight for years. Like Dele, Winks. And now Kane it seems
