Will be ‘interesting’ to see what calibre of manager they expect to hire.

With 8 games to go SD probably still had the wherewithal to drag them through…the caretakers days, likely to not.

Apparently, a certain Sam Allardyce is who Burnley want............

If they stay up, they could do worse than trying to get Rooney from Derby for next season.

Would be a terrible move for Rooney. Burnley wont ever back him financially, and they took out huge loans this season which will hurt them big time if they go down. It's a very unappealing job!

He's just not very good but he's Frank Lampard so he'll get at least another job or two before people realise.

I was saying to a work colleague yesterday that I don't think management is going to be for him.

Winston Biscuit Just noticed Mark McGhee got the Dundee gig

who starts with a 6 game touchline and dressing room ban

Flicking through the channels I found St Mirren v Dundee on BBC Alba just now. He's really living up to the F bit of FSB these days.

Great gig. Sign a 3 year deal and work for only 8 months for it and paid up in full. Best job in football.

It would be but if it's only a contract till Christmas he'll only get 7 months pay-off

Odd fallout from the Edwards appointment. Edwards has defended his 'secret' talks with Watford on the basis that he claims he had a contract term that enabled him to talk to other clubs if he wanted to. FGR claim that this is rubbish, but nevertheless won't be pursuing the matter and 'wish Edwards well'.

You'd think Edwards is probably telling the truth or has something in writing suggesting that the arrangement was in place. Surely Forest Green would take it further if not as they'd have grounds on the face of it.

Not sure the FGR owner's comments that he hopes Watford crash and burn are particulalrly helpful. Comes across as a bit of a dick.

That is very true but I dont think he'll be winning any friends with his antics. He's coming across as incredibly entitled and with his head firmly up his idealistic arse.

Regardless of Watford's track record with sacking managers, I'm not sure many managers would turn them down to stay at Forest Green. A chance at promotion and £100m in the kitty or League 1 in front of crowds of less than 2,500? They're close to hitting their ceiling IMO.
