In the year when all the pundits are going for Man Utd (and the bookies) I think they will be in the top 4 but despite my normal prejudice I don't believe they will win it in a season when a lot of the back-up old guard have gone,(Scholes,Neville,O'Shea,Brown) and Giggs surely can't keep up the sh*****g and playing at his advanced age.
Barcelona showed how beatable they are and clubs just have to not give up 3 points so readily to them and one year they won't get the customary automatic 6 points from weedy old Spurs.
Not sure who will win it out of City,Liverpool or Chelsea so no betting for me this season.

At the other end of the table I think Swansea and Norwich might survive but I haven't been impressed with QPR's signings and if Doyle were to leave Wolves they could well drop down as could Newcastle if Barton joins the exodus.
Pre-season friendly results mean nothing nor does the Charity Shield but the season would start on a bright note if the old gum-chewer had a bad day out at Wembley on Sunday.

Prediction:-
TMD will cream himself if Man Utd win and likewise if City win because he will suggest that is their cup-final for the season (forgetting that they actually won THE cup final).

Last year you said having Scholes, Neville, O'Shea and Brown was the reason we wouldn't win the league.

Now you're saying not having them is the reason we won't win it :|

United will ease it this year, they've got stronger in departments not even needed..

.........................De Gea.........................
Rafael...........Vidic...........Ferdinand......Evra
Valencia......Fletcher..........Park............Nani
...............Rooney........Hernandez.............

that team is too good, with people like Young, Jones, Berbatov, Giggs, Smalling, Carrick all fighting for places, United will have the pick of the Domestic trophies this year mark my words!

Agreed with this, fwiw.

But then again, you read that team sheet and think 'midfieLOLd', there's got to be 10 ways to beat United, just no-one can find even a couple.

My point last year was that they wouldn't win the league if those players started and as it turned out they didn't play much and one year on none of them are there-fortunately for you Fergie took notice.

They are the best team in the whole country.

The Guardian preseason book illustrates each team with an appropriate picture. So its a Fulham player taking a corner, City playing with an Etihad jet and ...

Top 4? Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Citeh

Relegated? Wigan, Blackburn, Newcastle. I genuinely believe that the 3 promoted clubs will survive. Just.

20 sheets. Three teams will have to go down. QPR will be one of them.
