Going to Ghana v Nigeria tonight at Vicarage Road.

As the casually racist barmaid at my local says "it's going to be spot the white man down there"

Get your tickets in advance - the match at Fulham a few weeks ago was a major cock-up in terms of ticketing.

I'm going to head off to Bookham v Guernsey on Saturday. I was planning to go to Guernsey's away game at Spelthorne last Saturday, but as I was checking directions at about 10 to 1 I realised it kicked off at 1!
Bookham's the same KO (maybe no floodlights?), so I can listen to the Burnley match on my way home.

Excluding the two local teams for me (1. FCN & SpVgg Greuther Fürth), I have only been to one game this year - Stuttgart - Leverkusen and that because I had a press ticket. I am going to see Red Bull Salzburg - Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League in November though. Exciting stuff.

Despite the 0-0 result, enjoyed the evening of African football very much. The Ghanaians has big brass bands, drums, the odd vuvuzela (but not too many) and of course brightly coloured outfits. Not as many Nigerians as I expected though. The game itself was pretty open, with Nigeria maybe slightly more focused but both teams fluffing some seriously easy chances. African lager was available at the Vicarage Road concession stands there were various other promos and marketing people giving out flyers in the concourse area for things like remittance services, samples of some sort of malt drink, and whathaveyou. I believe I only saw two other white people in there. An unusual matchday to say the least, but glad I went.

..... Early KO s seem to be the norm for Guernsey away games @ w/e - I think they like getting home earlier in the evening.

Bookham definitely have lights they play @ Dorking FCs Meadowbank - right in the middle of the town - enjoy!

.... Shame about missing the Spelthorne match - Guernsey's first defeat - appears they regularly have player unavailability issues for most away games - understandable I suppose?

### UPDATE Probably a bit late for you now - apparently Surrey Council are doing some serious renovations around the area of Meadowbank in the middle of Dorking - and as a result the Car Park is only available today to Players and Officials (and presumably the Guernsey fans accompanying the team on the Bus from Gatwick)

There are some Car Parks nearby I think - the Town Council Hall has quite a big one just down the road - and there is limited street parking off the High St but be warned the Wardens are extremely 'ticket-happy' - I got one once on the short walk back from the Pay and Display Machine to my car!

...there's a good 'fans' guide to Dorking on todays' CCL Fansfocus in the Bookham v Guernsey thread.

Got a free ticket to go and watch Chelsea tomorrow. It'll be the first top flight game I've seen since watching Southampton at the Dell circa 2001.

More interested in the prawn sandwiches than the match tbf.

Confession time, I didn't go to see us in the Premiership either, managed to make it to a couple of cup games in those seasons.

Think this must have been the last premiership game i went to: http://www.spursodyssey.com/9900/wi220400.html

Might go see Brighton this weekend, seen them a few times this season as my local team.

Arsenal v Spurs on Sunday. An early kickoff followed by a few ales at my local (non-partisan) pub. My friend has two season tickets and kindly taking me along.

Then the England v Holland game during the week.

Millwall away next weekend, which I realise doesn't fall under 'General Football' but I think that will do me football wise for the rest of the month.

The Spectrum (or should it be 'Spactrum'?) for Guildford City games.

Beautiful.
