Can't see past Hart personally. Cole is a tw*t, Gerrard Lampard and Rio are past it, Barry and Parker are too little too late, and the likes of Walcott, Wilshere and Rooney just aren't captaincy material

We obsess far too much about who the England captain is or should be, as though that will determine our success or failure. The fact that we have so many senior players who fail to lead on the field is of far bigger concern than who gets to wear an armband.
