Yes. But don't let that get in the way of people using it as another stick to beat McDermott/Hammond/Madejski/Zingarevich with.

2 world wars, 1 world cup After our fukkup with tommy smith I don't have a lot of faith in the negotiation team.

And I don't give too much of a toss about Rogic. An unknown really, even though he plays well for 70mins in Oz.

Why he'd go to Celtic over us I have no idea.

Screw him.

Back to R&G?

Surely that was as much about Rodgers blabbing his mouth off publicly and Pompey being willing to pay him well over the odds as anything else. Otherwise it's just Tommy Smith and Hammond (the name seemingly being carefully left out) has done a great job in most of our incoming and especially outgoing negotiations.

The official site is currently offering Reading players on sale for £18.99. Is this a sign of Hammond's negotiation skills?

Let's be honest, Celtic is easily a better move for him. He'll be able to play Champions League football and will break into the first team sooner.

We could offer more money and a higher standard of opposition (we could be relegated twice and still be playing SPL quality teams), but on balance Celtic is a better option for his career.

A-League to Scottish Prem is a bit of a sideways step is it not?

A League to the Champions League you mean - that is a positive step...

What for 1 maybe 2 games this season and maybe 3 next year?

That's like saying you really hate sprouts and you love chips for example. If you had a whole plate of sprouts and 2 or 3 chips, do those little chippies make the sprouts seem like a tasty meal?

It's a lunchtime analogy as its lunchtime.

Yes, but probably will be easier to get noticed by some of the bigger clubs playing for Celtic. After all it, it seems the lad is ambitious and his next move he is hoping will be a stepping stone to something bigger.

Blow by blow account of how it happened for me:

- Excited by news we are going to bring in Prem class players
- Dissapointed to find we are looking at some Rogic geezer I've never heard of
- Encouraged by rosies, decide to think positive and actually get into the idea
- Dissapointed again after hearing it's yet another deal we f/cked up
- £20 Akpan from the mighty Crawley Town fails to sweeten the pill
- Get's more bitter after reading McD trotting out the boring "Doyle/Long" cliche for the godzillionth time
- Try to work out how long the club will dine out on that spot of fortune. Another ten years perhaps?
- Never mind at least Sunzu would be a good s... oh. We don't want to pay £100 up front.
- On brink of signing a prem star? YEAAAAH!
- Oh. It's going to be Steve Shitfor6years Sidwell or some bloke called Chris nobody has ever given a shit about.
- Takes bunting down.
