Ok ok, I know Leicester nave made team changes but.........

ex-Reading yoof and keeper Ben Hamer is playing Champions League football tonight

Apart from players falling down the leagues and/or in the twilight of their career (and becoming Reading players)......is this a first?

No you pillock, he won it back to back seasons at Brighton. When they beat the whole of the world team the first year and then the Galaxy Champions in front of a home crowd of 24 billion fans the next.

You must remember that?

Wouldn't surprise me if Mahrez went in Jan. I just don't think that Vardy is good enough to move and for a top club to want him. I just don't get the hype. He went on an insane scoring run last season and does have a bit of pace about him, but it is starting to look like last year was a blip.

But they're clearly going for glory in that competition and playing their squad accordingly.

Last night was pretty abject - but it doesn't matter.

They're doing pretty badly in the league - but it doesn't matter ... yet.

Yet is the key thing.

If they continue to go for glory in the CL (and possibly the FA Cup) it will hurt their league position.

Unless they get into serious trouble, I can't see them going down - there are just 3 worse teams than them.

It's similar variety of fecal matter to 'ding fans kicking off at us being a bit mid-table in the Championship when getting promoted to the Premiership would be one of our all time Top 5 seasons and 'just' finishing in the play-offs a solid Top 10

No, not really. You can't see them going down either.

So why not have a cup run or two? Sure, the CL is almost certainly beyond them, but a decent draw for the last 16 and then its the Quarter finals. The money they will get from a CL run to the knockout stages will vastly, vastly outweigh what they get for a couple of places in the division. The prestige of knocking out any of the big teams will vastly, vastly outweigh any number of rainy days in Stoke.

What else do they have to miss out on?

^^ Yeah that

Fair f*cks to them
They know they're never gonna reach the top 4 of the prem again, so why not prioritise your only ever go in the CL

Club Brugge and Dinamo Zagreb both failed to get a point in the Champions league this year.

There are 17 other teams since its inception to share this fate. Name them.

yes. some are repeated.

Surely after winning the league and the money and fame they get from it, there is no reason why they can't do it again. Whats the point in becoming the next Blackburn

There's plenty of reasons why they can't.
