My son is 15 and currently doing some GCSE mocks. Today Arsenal brought on a sub who is a few months younger than him.

Everton have conceded only 6 goals in the last 7 games

Newcastle have won only 1 league game this season

West Ham have won only 9 points from the last available 42, and 37 points from the last 33 games

Sam Hoskins of Northampton. Midfielder. In his 12th season as a pro and his goalscoring got into double figures once so far. currently leading the L2 goalscoring chart with 10 goals in 9 games

Change of role maybe - he got 4 in his final 4 games last season. He has 14 in 13 league games, having scored 19 in his previous 103. :D

He’s is an attacking midfielder, he’s just putting it down to a lot of luck at the moment.

Haaland needs 19 more goals in the next 30.5 games to equal the 38 game season goalscoring record

Such a beast of a player. Fast, strong, excellent all round player and a ridiculous natural goal scorer

Given the quality of service it’s just a matter of time till he breaks records

NathStPaul Liverpool out of the title race after two games. You love to see it.

Really? You love to see it?
Only alternative is City and they encapsulate everything that’s wrong with modern football, their style is so dull

Had to dig this out.

I just don't get Grealish. Always takes 1 touch too many allowing defenders to get a foot in, isn't fast, gives the ball away a lot.

(I assume he will score now I have said that)

Best BBC headline of the season:

City 4 United 1: Anthony pulls one back.

That must hurt United’s gloryboys

3 hattricks in a row at the Etihad for Haaland. That's utterly ridiculous

Just 8 games in and Haaland is 43.75% of the way to equaling the 38 game season goalscoring record

Just to elaborate, when teams come on to City and press them, it usually ends in a very good game like today, Newcastle one was an end to end spectacle but when teams sit back (which, in all honesty, is 75% of the games) then yes, it’s usually a very one sided, dull affair. Take their game against West Ham earlier in the season, 75% of possession, 2 shots on goal

Course, you can argue it’s more down to how other teams set up but I don’t see how you can find such high possession stats to one team an interesting spectacle

Then again, you’re renown for liking possession style football, hence your tiresome anti-Southgate posts so there you go
