URZZZZ
BRO_BOT Glad City won, anyone but LFC winning the league

You can imagine with City's run in now that they're going to pick up momentum and that usually only means one thing. March will play a huge bearing on the title race, City have United, Anfield, Brighton, Arsenal and Villa in a row. Four tough ones and a derby there. You'd think that if they're on top on the other side of that, it'll be theirs again unfortunately.

It's strange as I haven't been as impressed with Liverpool with respect to their league position. But they're extremely resilient. 19 points I believe they've accumulated from losing positions this season which is really impressive

Can't really keep getting away with it, 'pool really need strengthening in January but they'll do what they usually do in January when they're looking possibles for the title and try to get by with players away and injuries mounting and do nothing.

Still at least they're run well financially not like the questionable antics at City and Chavski.

BRO_BOT KDB's new barnet is a no, for me!

I get that his rehab has taken some time but surely there's got to be a better hobby to have tried than trying to grow yourself some 90s boyband curtains.

Udogie holds Garnacho, would you give a penalty for this?

My initial thought is it's a bit soft. But it's defo a foul

Certainly seen softer fouls given - risky by the defender.

You'll get it outside the box but it is a bit too soft for a pen imo. It should be the case that a foul is a foul of course but that just isn't how it works unfortunately.

Yeah, agree with this - if this is near the corner flag, I think the ref gives it 99 times out of 100.

Kind of agree. If it's the other way around I'd have been delighted to get a 'no penalty' decision.

Would you have given it if he had been facing goal?

It makes sense now for a defender to control the hips of his opponent then as the foul won't be given

Rhodri got a pen for softer contact when he wasn't in control of the ball

Being in control of the ball is completely irrelevant

I get that but if you were comparing the two fouls which would you deem to be more worthy of a penalty?

Have Man United considered letting S'Alex sit on the bench. That always used to guarantee a few extra penalties a season.

Perhaps one for the ‘shit I did not know that thread’ but seeing as kfoae and all that I’ll put it here.

West Ham currently have the second highest average attendance in the country. Last season too.

They have certainly done well out of getting a massive stadium at peppercorn rent.

IT17 returns on Sunday. Also, I FUCKING hate it when players are referred to by their initials and number, with the exception of AK47 for Mauritanie yesterday.

A stadium that's starting to fall to bits because the chain of ownership is so murky, no-one's taking responsibility for maintenance.

Who'd have though a stadium that was originally planned to be scaled down to 20,000 after 3 weeks' use would need repairing?

Not sure what Ivan Toney is playing at. Obviously has previous, apologised for a leaked video where he could be heard saying 'fcuk Brentford, they are shit'. And the club has stood by him during his gambling ban, and now he does an interview on the eve of his return saying that of course he wants to play for a big club. Bizarre.

I thought the same sangers. You hope he'd come back with a bit of humility and say all the right things about thanking Brentford for supporting him and wanting to do his best to turn their season around even if in private he's thinking about leaving. You'd hope his agent would be telling him this and telling him his best option for now is to see the season out where he is. If Brentford get relegated he'll be off anyway and if his goals keep them up he can leave a hero for saving them.
