Whether deliberate or not (I agree that it probably is), that is 100% a red card.

Is the Guinea derby always a bit spicy? Reckon he'd have got away with it if he'd made a ball shaped gesture with his hands.

Confusingly, the Guinea derby is Guinea vs. Guinea Bissau. Their Equatorial friends are in fact separated by Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Cameroon and others, and 1,500 miles.

Sanguine I'm gonna go deliberate on this one, deserved red card. Equatorial Guinea's Federico Bikoro sent off for a follow through and a half.

Wonder if the Saudi lot will get an itchy sword finger over Howe if Newcastle lose tonight.

Mr Mourinho would have been frantically calling them since his Roma sacking.

What a weird result. If Luton stay up its arguably one of the greatest Premier League achievements ever.

3 wins in 16 for Brighton, injuries and Europe have taken a toll on their season

Luton showing the merits of pragmatism and playing to the strengths of your squad. I have no idea what Kompany has been doing at Burnley this season but them and Sheffield have been two of the poorer Prem teams we’ve seen for a while

It's no worse than Nigel de Jong on Alonso and he didn't get sent off

Reminds me of this 'challenge' from Julian Dicks. Fwiw, this was given as an indirect free kick for a high boot, no booking.

City host Burnley tonight. Burnley have scored one goal in their last 12 matches against City. City's last seven home games against Burnley, in reverse order - 6-0, 2-0, 5-0, 5-0, 5-0, 5-0, 4-1.

I think I'll go home win.

Test for Liverpool tonight - they should beat Chelsea, but the visitors have found a patch of form, and won four of their last five league games.

A lot of talk on De Zerbi being in for both the Barca and Liverpool jobs, but not on this current season, I've actually been quite disappointed with them to be honest. May have expected it to be a bit more difficult with Europe, but they are leaking goals like a side towards the bottom of the table.

Credit to them, they are a good team to watch, but I expected more.

I guess there is only so many times you can re-invent the wheel. Last summer they lost Mac Allister, Sanchez and Caicedo, year before that it was Trossard, Cucerella and Bissouma, and the summer before Ben White left for Arsenal. Europe has taken its toll - it's remarkable they still top half really (for now!).

Liverpool and Chelsea seem to draw a lot to each other recently - 7 in a row with 4 of the last 5 being 0-0s!

Next four days will define Liverpool’s season IMO. Currently bottom in H2H against the other “big 6” teams with zero wins, four draws and one defeat. Given City’s tendency to pick up momentum at around this stage coupled with their easier run in over the next few games, think Liverpool have to be looking at 4 points as a minimum from tonight and Arsenal on Sunday

Though those stats are skewed somewhat by the total farce of their game at Spurs not to mention the failure of VAR refs (again!) to award them a clear and obvious penalty v Arsenal (and if Spurs are big 6  should not Newcastle be included and it be a big 7? Liverpool have, of course, beaten Newcastle twice which would presumably lift their H2H position in the "elite" team H2H table).

Just trying to build some hope up for someone to stay competitive for long enough to stop it being yet another Citycheats title and Liverpool would appear to be the best hope for that this time round.
