Not for this season, but just seen this on BBC - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61995080

Champions League: BBC to show highlights from 2024-25 season

Will certainly be more interested in catching highlights if it is on BBC, rather than trying to scope it out on BT YouTube or something as I don't have BT sport.

Amazon Prime have got 17 games as part of that deal too. They get first-pick on Tuesday nights, so I imagine that will leave BT scrabbling around for viewers, when Prime show the English teams on those nights.

First qualifying round proper starts tomorrow evening, and an all-British tie as New Saints play Linfield. Lincoln Red Imps start their campaign at Macedonia's KF Shkupi.

FC Sheriff Tiraspol made the group stages last year and beat Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk - but start early doors again owing to Moldova's poor coefficient. They play Zrinjski, of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Similar over here - Amazon have first pick on Tuesday - but then DAZN just show every other game, so you can take your pick.

Fenerbahce fans chant "Vladimir Putin" name during their Champions League qualifier against Dynamo Kyiv.

Kyiv promptly knock Fenerbahce out of the competition.

Cracking performance by the 'Gers last night and their 2 Americans are looking good-USA might have a decent squad when it comes to the World Cup.

The money for qualifying for the Champs League proper is really significant for Rangers (and for that other Scottish team).

And will just help widen the gap between the Auld Firm and the other 40 clubs even more. It's a ridiculous chasm - when you see the sums that even Championship clubs operate on it's just ludicrous.

Yeah the finances for Rangers and Celtic will be important, it's now more about trying to sustain it for a couple of seasons or so. They are still nowhere near the financial rewards of the Premier League though.

Are you suggesting that they should decrease the rewards for the CL significantly ?
There’s a few famous teams around Europe that are waiting to have a word about that

No, I'm suggesting that something should be done to level the financial imbalance in Scotland - although I'm not sure what. But with just two teams getting the lion's share of the TV money *and* CL money on top of that it's just not good for the whole pyramid up here.

Isn’t that exactly the same in all of Europe’s leagues ?

Yes in some ways, but not to such a massive extent (except maybe in Spain).

I think that may be underestimating the effect on other countries
The income from CL is the roughly the same for all clubs that get into the group stage and if the team is from a (relatively) undermarketed league the difference could be even more pronounced

And if teams progress from the groups they deserve the increased income, don’t they ?
