Dirk Gently If they had been, at least I'd have made the effort to rewrite them slightly in order to try to cover my tracks ;-)

OMG, people actually do that! :?

The St Johstone fact needs to be reworded. Jarrow play in the Northern League and I think Jedburgh have a team in the lowland leagues somewhere, then there’s Jersey Bulls in the Combined Counties and though Jersey technically isn’t part of Britain the club is playing in Britain.

It’s also a shame Radcliffe dropped the Borough element from their name as when it was there their name contained a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h and i.

The Four-Four-Two piece you copied and pasted this from needs updating. Cowdenbeath were relegated in May.

Don’t think it does need to be updated based on the above, Cowdenbeath have neither changed their name nor relocated outside of the U.K. since their relegation

Yep, but if they still qualify as a non-league team, then it invalidates the previous "fact", since other non-league teams have a "j" in their name and should be counted...

Between April 1933 and January 1936, Reading went 55 home league games unbeaten, which was an English league record for a period of 32 years before Millwall surpassed it in 1967. #FortressElmPark.

We haven’t lost at Elm Park for more than 25 years

Going back to Cowdenbeath, did the person originally copying that one miss out something about "in one word"?

Because Wycombe Wanderers and Cambridge United also both have each of a, b, c, d and e.

Dirk Gently The two I posted weren't. They were known and remembered.

If they had been, at least I'd have made the effort to rewrite them slightly in order to try to cover my tracks ;-)

Your regular quiz question "which club is located nearest to the River Mersey?" might need revision once Everton move

Brogue Nemanja Vidic is the only Premier League winner with a surname made entirely of Roman Numerals

When Hakan Mild finds out that Wimbledon weren't in the Prem when he played for them, he's going to be livid

Only 8 ( now 7 as Newcastle will be there for the League cup final) teams in the entire football league have not played at the new Wembley. I was kinda shocked at that.

Would have guessed Rochdale but looks like they made a PO Final in 2007 ish.

The Trophy Final is at Wembley I assume? Still, that and PO Final is the only opportunity for most L1 and 2 sides.

Just goes to show how “not special” getting to Wembley is now.

Harrogate won the 2019–20 FA Trophy against Concord Rangers on 3 May 2021 (as a result of the Covid thing the final had been held over from 2020)
Barrow won the 2009-10 FA Trophy against Stevenage Borough on 8 May 2010

Yeah the stat came from ady Williams yesterday on bbc berks. He added the disclaimer that both muff and Newcastle played there when spurs borrowed it for a couple of seasons. I don’t think it’s fair to count them for this purpose though. And actually when I looked at the list it changes as clubs come up from the football league and go down. I saw a list that actually there are only 6 clubs some said 8 I couldn’t nail it down exactly without going through every team in the football league which I ain’t doing :D but you get the drift
