Harry Maguire

Really feel sorry for him. Always seemed like a likeable guy and wasn't long ago that he was an England cult hero.

Obviously didn't affect the result and it was only a friendly, but tonight will be the icing on the cake for his laughing stock status. He must be absolutely shot mentally.

So where does he go from here? Are there any transfer windows still open or is he stuck at Utd for the foreseeable?

Would've liked to see him somewhere like West Ham for a bit of a reset, but now I think his best bet would be to get some of that sweet, sweet Saudi money.

Saudi's not a bad shout actually for a good payday, might feel as if he can still do something in the PL for a couple of seasons yet. Once I saw the West Ham interest I thought it would be as good as done, seems like he'd suit them.

+1 to the above, feel really sorry for him. Needs to get out of Utd ASAP and yeah, when West Ham were interested, thought that was going to be a no-brainer.

As said in the match thread, I felt really quite sad when it went to his face after the ball went in. You just knew how bad he felt and how much stick he would take

He is only 30 and when on form was a very decent player. If I was him I would take a loan abroad somewhere. Go to Serie A where defending is a religion.

I think he is a bit silly for not moving on in the summer, poorly advised by his management.

I'd like to see the Maguire Mandate introduced into football, which allows player we like, who are really sad, to move clubs outside the transfer window.

That and presumably his own greed over the higher earnings still to apply when at Man Utd, i.e.more concerned about money than about actually playing regular football?
The Man Utd manager made it clear that he wasn't in their plans.

BTW, whatever happened over that holiday fracas he was involved in?

He's a good mid-table Premier League defender. Not his fault United spent a stupid amount of money on him.
