Would be a great achievement for them. But being better than 3 other clubs, 2 of which were also in the Championship last season and 1 of which sold off their best players upon promotion due to financial problems, or even just being better than 2 clubs but another club is deducted points so finish below you, is not even in the same stratosphere of achievement as Leicester winning the league

Could quite easily argue that a team coming up into the PL having been very cheaply put together and then managing to finish 8th in their first ever season in the top division, is a bigger achievement than Luton finishing 17th

No not really. Reading's achievement is streets ahead of Luton's, also think Ipswich did something similar to Reading back in about 2000 or something. Leicester's probably always will be the greatest PL "little club" achievement, just as Reading's 106 will always be the greatest in the second tier given that the only sides that seem able to challenge that record recently are those with megabuck parachute payments and PL squads.

Lutons big achievement is managing to get up through all the divisions and to go up last season season with one of the smallest budgets.

As a one off thing, staying up this season would be a great achievement but wouldn't be anything extraordinary. Other 'small' clubs have done the same for a season or two. Bradford & Oldham being good examples. Wigan staying up the first season too.

Anything happening right now will be hyped to insane levels as the best ever by Sky, for obv reasons.
