What are your football based gripes.. Can be about the actual game, or anything associated with it..

This thread was inspired by a couple of consecutive tweets i saw earlier, and essentially is a social media gripe rather than football, but...

I also saw that post yesterday and learned that she basically has an account where she tries to act like a thick women overreacting and not understanding football to try and catch the attention of low iq football fans then tries to sell them a flash of her rat for money

I find it odd that someone would opt for that as a career move tbh, but then people seem happy to hand over money for it.

My long standing gripe I was recently reminded of was footballers being worshipped so much that when they do something even a tiny bit pleasant, or even just not unpleasant, a whole social media campaign appears around what an absolutely great bloke they must be

Picking up your own litter from a changing room is the main one that gets this reaction. Social media elev8s them to Nelson Mandella levels for a week after they do that.

That's just fans being fed up with all of the pathetic gamesmanship and mundande cheating that goes on all over the pitch though isn’t it.

Ball outside the arc on corners. Shuffling closer than 10 yards at free kicks. Gaining ground with freekicks and throw ins. Constant tugs and holds and pushes. Timewasting, feigning injury, diving, seeking contact...

I think it's partly that, but it's more about the over the top reaction, and some people have always done it. Look at a player taking a throw on from 5 yards further forward than it should be, you'll get some fans going apoplectic at it.

That's not just football-re8ed. The kind of blind tribalism applies especially across politics and (to a lesser extent) with things like fans of music, cars etc.
