Another win at the weekend keeps up the sequence for Windsor & Eton. 2nd on GD with 2 games in hand.

In between the last 2 league games they have won 2 cup games away and lost away in the FA Trophy at Team Bath 2-1. They now have 4 successive away games in the League making it 7 away games in 8...

Martin Williams has recovered from his long-term achilles injury and was on the bench on Saturday.

What division are W&E in now RR? I know they were utter dump a couple of years ago, are they Hellenic league or a bit above that?

Okie Dokies, that Diddy Town's division? They are in something South & West. Thought Truro were way clear in that so I may be getting mixed up.

Just checked and it's very tight at the top, Diddy are top although they've played a couple of games more. Couple of ex Ding at Diddy at the moment Neville Roach and also Simieon Howell.

Deathy They are flying, and they needed too after a suspect start.

Good to see Oxford ensuring another season at Conference level. I think they're too strong to go down, sadly. Still makes me feel all warm inside when they lose though.

Chelsea of the Conference.

They're definately the Chelsea fo the conference. It's just the Chelsea of the 1980's.
Still my favourite NON-LEAGUE team. Plucky little fighters.

W&E drew at AFC Totton last night, the team now in 2nd, so a good point. They are now top. Michael Chennels, W&E's striker has now scored 15 in their last 12 games.

Keith Scott has transformed them since he took over midway through last season.

Truro lost at home. They were well clear a couple of months ago, scoring stacks of goals, but have won 3, drawn 4 and lost 3 in their last 10 games.

Any tasty non-league games in the area this weekend? I'm at a loose end and fancy taking in some traditional, English winter football shit-kicking and hoofing.

... thought I'd try and breathe life back into a 'dead-thread'

.... trouble for our friends 'Up The Valley' (!) :? .. taken from the NL Forum this AM

OUFC have been charged by the Conference Board for not registering a player. Its understood that the player in question is Eddie Hutchinson who is on the transfer list and was told by former manager Darren Patterson that he had had no future at the club. Patterson was rather made to look foolish when a spate of injuries and suspensions forced him to play Hutchinson firstly in a Setanta Shield game, then in subsequent league games.
I understand OUFC have gained 11 points with Hutchinson present.
The hearing is on Monday.

LOL!

Dirty tricks to try and get mid table final position. Let's hope they throw the Tevez inspired book at them!

The way that the Conference has panned out over recent years, Oxford could be severely punished, finish bottom and still not get relegated.

Oh and btw...Reading Town (doing well and riding high in the Futball Hellenic having won 10 out of their last 12 games) have applied to move up from Step 5 to Step 4 (Ryman)

Excellent news. It'd be nice to see them progress up the pyramid.

judging the size of crowds that attend the "lower league top flight" amateur teams, very little.

Scours no doubt meets most of the criteria already
