Sunday afternoons were great with the live games being on. We couldn't afford Sky Sports back then so it was the only live football I got on a weekly basis. George Weah in his prime, Baggio etc. Great memories.

I actually have a nice pink Corriere dello Sport at home somewhere! someone brought me one back as a present as they know how obsessed I am.

I think that was the exact picture i showed to my Italian colleague a couple of years back when I was explaining to her how this country fell in love with Italian football in the early 90's.

Beppe Signori was the first man I really loved.

Was about to mention him! He is my go to reference for exciting Serie A players from the Football Italia era

Signori, Batistuta, Balbo. Incredible stuff.

Did you have a designated Italian team? Mine was Parma.

Didn't really have a team tbh. I quite liked Fiorentina but that was really just Batistuta. Maybe Lazio because of Signori and Gascoigne

Lazio for me. Signori, Nesta, Nedved, Casiraghi. They were my go to Championship Manager team too.

Race for the European Golden shoe:

1. Harry Kane - 21 goals - 42 points
2. Akor Adams - 22 goals - 36.5 points
3. Kylian Mbappe - 18 goals - 36 points
4. Amahl Pellegrino - 24 goals - 36 points
5. Serhou Guirassy - 17 goals - 34 points

Kane on 22 goals and 44 points now I think. Mbappe 19 (38). Martinez has leapfrogged Guirassy and now has 18 (36). Adams and Pellegrino won't move as the Norwegian season is done.

Big weekend in the Bundesliga

Leverkusen with one of their toughest games of the season away to Leipzig, big players missing for them, they go behind twice, come back twice, then score a winner in injury time

Bayern currently losing at home to Werder with 12 minutes left
