Fenerbahce dropped points earlier so it's a huge game for Galatasaray away to 3rd place, and champions 2 years ago, Trabzonspor.

Galatasaray currently 3-0 up with Zaha getting 2 of them!!

Some dodgy refereeing decisions by all accounts.

At the risk of ruining the run I’ll be able to provide some reportage soon

I'd say only the penalty was dodgy because Rudiger has his hands on the shoulders of a defender at the corner. Most angles show the Vinicius goal came off his shoulder, or certainly above "the T-Shirt line," and the disallowed Almeria goal was a hand to the face of Bellingham in the build up, soft but those are usually given in Spanish football.

Fcuking Utrecht! PSV's 100% league record comes to an end, with a 1-1 draw away from home.

And it is now 21 games without a win this season for Almeria, albeit it took a 99th minute Real Madrid goal to defeat them this week. Dating back to May, they have now gone 24 games in La Liga without a victory. Levante hold the record on 27 games, set across 20/21 and 21/22.

Currently on six points, Almeria may threaten the records for fewest wins in a season (2, held by four teams), and fewest points (13, Sporting Gijon in 97-98).

Was listening to a thing on Sevilla the other day and what a mess thry are in.

1 point above relegation, offloading experienced players and trying to replace them with cheap youth.

Said that conversation has changed in Spain from 'what a poor season/what a bad moment they are having' to 'they genuinely look like they may go down'

Stenhousemuir running away with Scotch League 2. Currently 16 points clear, averaging 2.5 points per game and on track for one of the highest ever points totals

When Rangers dropped down (2012/13) and strolled their way back up the leagues, they got 83 points in League 2, averaging 2.3 points per game

Don't know if anything has changed and hence their domination, but as far as I remember, Stenhousemuir is part owned by its fans, and the supporters' trust is the largest shareholder.

Thoughts are with East Stirling at this difficult time.

Bayern unconvincingly beat Union 1-0 in their game in hand to close the gap to 4 pts. Games only real talking point being the Union manager punching Leroy Sane a couple of times.

Key game coming up on 10th Feb as Bayer host Bayern - assuming the gap stays the same over the next 2 rounds of games (both sides face Mönchengladbach, Leverkusen go to Darmstadt and Bayern to Augsburg) then will be a real 6 pointer.

Athletic Bilbao (Athletic Club!) knock Barcelona out of the cup last night 4-2, with the Williams brothers getting a goal each in extra time

San Mamés always looks like such an amazing atmosphere. One of the stadiums I would most like to visit.

Here is the 4th goal https://twitter.com/vini_ball/status/1750294347218563199

Barca 1-0 down at HT to Villarreal

Atletico and Bilbao right behind them in the table waiting to pounce

If they fail to win the pressure to get rid of Xavi will just increase even more.

And he announces he's leaving at the end of the season.
