Sanguine Almeria have now gone 26 La Liga games without a victory, and will equal Levante's record of 27 if they fail to beat Athletic Bilbao at home this weekend.

And with just six points so far, they need another eight points from their remaining 15 games to beat the league's record low tally of 13 (Sporting Gijon).

Closest they have come to a win this season was at home to Granada, where they led 3-0 at half-time and 3-2 with five minutes to go, only to be pegged back to a draw.

Almeria 0-0 Athletic Bilbao. Almeria played the last 37 minutes with 10. 27 games with no win record equalled.

Lowest points totals in Europe's top leagues (since three points for a win)
Premier League: Derby County 2007-08 (11)
La Liga: Sporting Gijon 1997-98 (13)
Bundesliga: Schalke 2020-21 (16)
Ligue 1: Lens 1988-89 (17)
Serie A: Pescara 2016-17 (18)

Winning the Bundesliga, if they do, will not necessarily be enough to save Tuchel and he knows it, hence making eyes publicly in the direction of Spanish clubs.

Hansi Flick will return in the summer would be my guess.

Remember our old friend Davide Nicola, the Italian Sam Allardyce, who we adopted as a HNA folk hero when he took over Salernitana 2 years ago when they looked pretty much doomed to relegation, and he managed to keep them up, as he has done with a number of relegation threatened teams before that?

Well guess who just took over at 2nd from bottom Empoli and in his first 4 games has 2 wins and 2 draws, including a 1-1 against Juventus, taking the club out the relegation zone and up to 5th from bottom?!

Yay! :D

and of course the best thing about him is still that he got so angry at his own team that he took his shoe off on the touchline and threatened to hit his own players with it

They are now top of the 12 game form table

They are only 10 points off the play offs now. Just saying....

Have you thought of offering your services to other struggling teams in the future to help them turn their season around? Just look around Europe's struggling teams, decide where you want to holiday for a few weeks and contact them suggesting they put you up at no charge locally in exchange for their club becoming world beaters.

Could even look at different leagues around the world and plan your year around it.

They were bloody awful as well. Upamecano also picked up his 2nd red card in as many games.

Such is the size of some of the clubs now down in the 2nd tier in Germany, the attendance in the 2nd tier was at the weekend for the first time ever bigger than it was in the top tier

Schalke 1-0 Wiesbaden (60,542)
Hertha 3-2 Magdeburg (52,652)
Nürnberg 1-1 Kaiserslautern (35,462)
Hannover 2-1 Fürth (31,500)

I keep half an eye on Bochum as my school was partnered with a school in Bochum and I did my A level exchange there. My exchange partner was quite a big fan of Bochum but they were away when I did my exchange so we didn't get to a game. He did gift me a scarf though, which I still have at my parents house.

I watched first half stoppage time and some of the second half yesterday, and they were full value for the win from what I saw. Should have scored a third before half time as well. What was the big delay in the first half? I turned the game on just at the point they were about to take the corner to resume play and the commentators were talking about a delay, but I didn't see what caused it
