Spanish footbal continues to cover itself in glory.

match between Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Club had to be stopped momentarily due to racist insults being shouted against Nico Williams from the stands. Minutes after, Nico scored the equaliser and celebrated by pointing at his skin.

Winston Biscuit St-Ettiene's great 2nd half of the season continues, this time coming back from a goal down and a man down to win 2-1 with goals in the 91st & 94th minute!

5 games to go and they are 1 point away from an automatic promotion place

another win, and Angers lose, so they are now up into 2nd place! What a run they are on.

Leganes continued attempt to throw away the league title faltered at the weekend as Eibar couldn't beat relegation threatened Albacete

Winston Biscuit 97th minute equaliser for Leverkusen to keep the unbeaten Bundesliga season going

They will just not be beaten.

89th minute equaliser at West Ham last week.
On 30th March they beat Hoffenheim 2-1, having been a goal behind after 88 minutes.
Two weeks earlier they were 2-1 behind at home to Qarabag in the Europa League after 93 minutes, and they won 3-2.
In the first leg at Qarabag they had equalised in the 92nd minute.
Third game of the season at Bayern they equalised through a 94th minute penalty.

As DD flagged, Leverkusen did it again at the weekend, with a 96th minute equaliser against Stuttgart keeping their unbeaten record intact and now at 46, two shy of Benfica's record of nearly 60 years.

That's the fifth time in their last 12 games that they have been behind after 88 minutes, or later, and come back to draw or win. Madness.

They go to Eintracht Frankfurt next, who still need four points to secure a Conference League spot next season.

The great escape still on for Mainz. They are unbeaten in six and have lost once at home since December.

Don't know if we had this one, it's a couple of weeks old.

Osasuna trailing Valencia 1-0 at home and they get a penalty in the 97th minute. Ante Budamir tries a 'pause' in his run-up, gets confused, pauses twice, and then toe-ends the ball straight to the keeper. :D

94th minute winner for Como. 96th minute loser for Venezia.
Como are on the brink of promotion to Serie A

With only 2 games to go Modena down in 14th could still get into the play offs and could still finish 1 place outside the relegation zone

5 years in the Spanish 3rd tier and Deportivo may be going back up to the 2nd div again. 4 points clear with 4 left to play, but they are still to face the team in 2nd place

Polish 2nd Division side Wisla Krakow just won the Polish cup, scoring an equaliser in the 93rd and a winner in the 99th. Qualifies them for Europe too.

as a very casual observer of Scotch football can someone help me understand why there is a clamour from the rubbish sides to make it into the top half of the table for when the split happens? (or is there not a clamour and its just a media thing)

Its surely much better to be the best side in the bottom half than the worst side in the top half?

If you look at the table now, Dundee made it into the top half, but the only prize you get from league placing (aside from money for league placing) is european qualification if you finish top 4, which they are obviously not going to do. So really they are not fighting to see if they can just finish 6th or maybe get 5th, while likely losing most of their final 6 games, whereas Hibs finished 7th so are in the bottom half after the split, but will more than likely have a lovely old run in for the final 6 games and win most of them.

Is it just owners that want a top half finish for a slightly better payday (and extra old firm visit)? from a fans point of view I would much rather finish in 7th and than 6th before the split

Turkish Super Lig still running at a crazy pace, though Fenerbahce recently drew which helped Galatasaray take a 4 point lead, giving them a cushion of being able to lose one of the last 4, which could help as the top 2 are still due to play each other

most points ever in a season in that league is 93. Both teams will go beyond that and could both end up going over 100

Troyes, about to have a 2nd successive relegation, have their game abandoned as fans keep throwing flares on the pitch to stop play

Their fans are already pretty angry at the club being bought by City Group.

Its all about the money and an outside shot at Europe. Even a home game against St Mirren is a bigger money spinner than one against Livingston.

St Mirren have finished Top 6 the last 2 seasons and will also attract better players as a result. In fairness, they're probably fishing in a similar pool to ourselves but they can offer 4 Old Firm games and an expectation of challenging for Europe.

Conversely, Hibs and Aberdeen have spent relatively big so finishing bottom half for them is oxf*rd embarrassing, especially for Hibs with Hearts comfortably in 3rd. There's a lot of bragging rights involved.

Dutch 2nd Div - Roda JC get the win they need to secure promotion, pitch invasion at the final whistle, much delirium ensues....but wait, while the fans are on the pitch celebrating, elsewhere Groningen score a 95th minute equiliser in their game meaning they are 3 points behind Roda and with a better goal diffo, so Roda are not up, and must wait for next weeks final game of the season to see if they can secure promotion

Final game next week is Roda JC Vs Groningen :o :o :o

3rd win in a row for mine and El Franquicia's boys, FC Cartagena, and you would think that should be enough to avoid relegation really.

What a 2nd half of the season!
they won just 1 of their first 17 games they had 9 points and were somewhat adrift at the bottom. In the 15 games after that they got 9 wins and 2 draws and were consistently one of the form teams over the last few months

I was going to laugh at Leganes again throwing away automatic promotion but they just got a 94th minute winner

Leverkusen equalled Benfica's unbeaten record with a 5-1 away win at Frankfurt - 48 unbeaten in all competitions.

And Cartagena were sold out (ok, small ground, etc., but for a club in mid-table) that’s still a good effort

Clyde1998 Leverkusen equalled Benfica's unbeaten record with a 5-1 away win at Frankfurt - 48 unbeaten in all competitions.

They were unplayable yesterday and with Bochum (a) and Augsburg (H) to play, you would be a brave man to bet against them completing the league season undefeated. You would also expect them to dispatch Kaiserlauten comfortably in the Cup Final.

With a 2-0 lead of Roma in Europe, again, you don't see them slipping up there. So realistically, the EL Final is the most difficult hurdle left.

On Leverkusen, DAZN posted a table a few days back showing what the table would look like if games finished bang on 90mins - no injury time. Leverkusen would still be top but (prior to the weekend) only 3 points ahead of Bayern (would now be 6) instead of the 15 point lead they do have.
