Sanguine Leverkusen now 34 games unbeaten in all competitions, entering rare territory. Since the advent of European competition, Benfica hold this particular record, going undefeated in 48 matches between December 1963 and February 1965. Six other sides have reached 40 games without defeat in all competitions, most recently Real Madrid in 2016-17.

32 games was the record for the Bundesliga, so every game now extends their own record. They have essentially gone a whole season without defeat now.

Looking at their fixtures, the only real test left for them is a trip to Dortmund in 6 games time - could easily see them going the whole campaign undefeated - unless they fully take their foot off once they are Champions.

That is glorious, made all the better by the timing of Aberdeen's opener.

top of the Turkish Super Lig still just as nuts as it was. I wonder if there has ever been as big a gap between 2nd and 3rd place in a serious european league before. Not only are Galatasaray & Fenerbahce both on track for a record points total, but 3rd place is on a particularly low number of points this season

**non Europe alert**

6 games left in the Australian A League and Wellington, who have never been champions, are currently 3 points clear

Referee Gil Manzano stood down by La Liga after admitting his mistake at the end of the Valencia-Real Madrid match at the weekend.

What mistake?

Surely that's not Real Madrid strong-arming the league...

Aberdeen have been absolute garbage this season. That's the way it's gone past few seasons though, whoever finishes 3rd can't cope with the rigours of European football and are shite the next season.

Must be some sort of record though, leading for 95 minutes and losing the game.

The new lunatic president of Argentina says he is repealing the law to make football clubs fan owned and is already in discussions with City Group about them buying one of the countries biggest clubs

30 in 25 games. Needs 11 more in 9 league games to equal the record.

Leverkusen are only 6 wins from the title (assuming Bayern win their remaining games)
They’re only 9 games without defeat from Invincibles

Not Europe, but in Saudi Arabia, Al-Hilal have broken a global football record, recording their 28th consecutive victory, passing the record of 27 held by TNS in Wales since 2017.

Truly dominant team - 24 of those 28 victories have been by two goals or more.
