back to the original?Dirk Gently Trouble is in practice it's almost always impossible to guarantee play, and there is always a real effort to call games off as early as possible, using locally based refs where required. All credit to the people at Gillingham v Aldershot, who postponed today's game on Friday afternoon.
But games will always be postponed and I'm not sure what else could be done, because there'd be just as many complaints if a decision to postpone was made early and then it turned out a pitch was playable on the day.
