Good Luck Sir Steve Coppell

by Harpers So Solid Crew » 28 Mar 2010 08:14

At Bristol City, mentioned by Dellor as a strong rumour to be announced this week, and best odds a can now find are 8/11 so sounds like is going to happen. Great to see him back in the game IMHO

What odds was Darren F. to be our new manager when Coppell left?

PS - a good source has told me that the reason that DF was quickly moved away from Peterboro had nothing to do with talking to other clubs while in contract, and a whole lot to do with DF and one of the players' wives .......

I dunno what is funnier, them thinking Coppell will splash the cash and sign big name players, or that they could get Hammond as DOF!!

When you read the comments about Millen you realise tha HobNob? is not as bad as people try to make out....

Rather he went to a proper run club than to the likes of Hull or Palace.

It's his perfect job, medium size club, ambition for better things, but not demanding it. Not a huge budget, decent squad already there.

City fans expect him to come in, splash the cash and attract big names.

That is what I was gonna say.

The CIty fans will all be moaning he only signs ex Reading players, like we used to moan about is Brentford boys.

If Ivar does leave, I'd be shocked not to see him go to Bristol. Though they need a big centre half, so that will be Sonko!!
