That is absolutely crazy money. He is a good player, no doubt, but that money is insane.

My assumption when I saw that is they are already spending the Pogba money.

Give it a few months into the Premier League season and I'm sure Arsenal fans will be moaning they didn't stump up the cash for him when they fail to buy a big name striker this summer.

It is an alarming amount for a player pushing 30.

Maybe not even that long. I'm finding it very amusing that both Manchesters and Chelsea are recruiting solidly with the new money and 4rsenal have bought no one! Wenger the ol' fossil!

They've purchased Granit Xhaka (£34m) and Rob Holding (Free) so far.....

It's long been Wenger's way to buy just one or two final jigsaw pieces every now and then. In terms of big signings - it's only really Cech, Ozil, Welbeck, Sanchez and now Xhaka in the last 4 years or so.

It'll work, one day. Maybe.

Didn't they only buy Cech last summer as a major signing?

Given the way the league went last year, even just a little bit of further investment might have won them the title.

Read about this - new owners not afraid to splash the cash, Talisca apparently set to choose Wolves over Liverpool.
Have to assume they have made him a ridiculous financial offer.

No idea, but when a 29 year old with a dodgy back is worth £78m then even I'm worth £500k in today's market.

Now that would be absolutely crazy. Talisca is a player from FM that I have bought consistently.

Seville and Atletico Madrid have contacted Hal Robson-Kanu’s representatives over a potential move for the player, Sky Sports understands.

Representatives from both clubs are flying in tomorrow for talks with Robson-Kanu’s representatives.

Hal Robson-Kanu could be on the verge of a sensational move to Spain.

Sky Sports claim representatives from Atletico Madrid and Sevilla will travel to England today for talks with Reading’s former frontman.

Hope they remember to put him on a 1 year deal.......

Maybe in such a slow paced league it will be right up his street.

Spanish fans are well known for their patience with new players...... oh wait..... no.

I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that. It sounded like you said Johnny Evans to Arsenal for £16m but it couldn't have been that....
