Andre Bikey & Stephen Hunt

by The Prisoner » 22 Apr 2010 00:21

Big moves to the Premiership turning sourer by the mo. Arguably Bikey was too good for Burrrrrrnley. The Hunt dummy will be well and truly out when rele is confirmed (moves are being kept from me, I'm too good to be here, look at my nice hat, neither relegation was down to me, etc).

One question - where will they be playing next season?

Nice to see Sonks now getting the opportunity under the Elephant Man to play his full part in Hull's relegation though. Must have been hard for him having to watch other people concede penalties from the stands.

Was at the Hull game last night...Sonks looked shaky and unreliable. Hull fans started calling for Hunt. Interestingly, they booed Dowie when he subbed Cairney, the young kid, for Geovanni, and started chanting for Phil Brown

I didn't exactly think Dowie showed great man management skills by basically calling his strikers shit last night :|

Following in the extremely successful "humiliate them into further failure" model favoured by Phil Brown

I can't stand Hull and am very much looking forward to the confirmation of their relegation. As a club they've gone about things in the completely opposite manner that we did in terms of handling the Premier League by over-spending and over-paying their bunch of mediocre players.

Usually, I never like to see a football club struggle financially, but I have to admit I don't give two shits about Hull's (should they be relegated) or Pompey's situations.

Why were they calling for Hunt? I thought he was out for the rest of theseason?

I've got a strong dislike for Hull, largely because I know our squad that went down in 07/08 would have wiped the floor with the Hull side that stayed up last season. Also a nasty place and they've never offered anything to the Premiership apart from a few Geovanni wonder goals and some lucky wins. Surely the worst team ever to survive a Premiership season.

Agreed.

Also, the 3 that go down this year. The worst bottom 3 ever surely, with very little potential to bounce back.

Hull, the new Bradford.

I wouldn't let Laws loose with a water pistol. An appointment only surpassed in oddness by Dowie to Hull.

Didn't they do well.

There is talk that Hull will ivite Phil Brown back. Can't afford to pay him off. Shambles, just a shame they are going at the expense of WHU

Not a chance in hell. The interview after the match yesterday with Pearson and Boatang (SP?) rules that out 100%. Chairman laid a lot of the blame on both poor management and the then chairman, and Boatang decided to tell the world that Hull haven't been the same since they had that half time team talk, and ever since then they haven't had faith in themselves, the manager, the coaches...

I can imagine it would have damaged morale and egos were damaged, but surely those players can't blame 18 months of bad form all on one half time team talk.
