Don't think he's actually that bad but I'm probably in the minority - he's decent on Fighting Talk on Five Live anyway.

Trouble is he's a massive Liverpool homer and isn't afraid to show it, not quite the same as Chiles' comedy football team

He's just about passable on Fighting Talk although Danny Baker being on before him doesn't help. He's utterly dreadful on 5's football coverage. I'm probably in a minority here but think the BBC should have poached Matt Smith back for MOTD2.

I don't like him on FT, he makes it too cliquey. It's like looking in on a gang full of right cùnters, a bit like clicking on Arafat by mistake and reading a bit of it.

I don't mind his football coverage tbf.

I read it was a toss up between him and Lovejoy so not too bad a result considering

Adebayor as a pundit during the WC should be comedy gold

That was the only other option. Things must be getting really bad at BBC. Still at least it isn't Spoony.

Why doesn't James Richardson get touted for these things, ideal for MOTD2.

He started off awfully, got good after about 6 months or so, but then about midway through his second season he just went uttershit and cliquey, as you say, and it's now completely missable.

RIP JV and CO'C

He's crap on EPT and give me Ian Frazer over John Duthie any day, too.

Plus I served Murray and a bird he was with a coffee when working part-time in a restaurant on Finchley Road whilst at University. I don't like him.

He's worse than Johnny Vaughan when he did it!

Anyone who's seen his coverage during games on five will know that he will be truely awful.

Well you got your wish.. and he was as dull as dishwater.

Chiles was a refeshing MOTD host; comes across as down-to-earth, not over-polished and passionate on his subject.

Which is why James Richardson is the perfect fit for MOTD2.

Huge +1 for a Richardson led programme; his coffee / ice cream Football Italia chats were excellent.
