why not have grown up sophisticated rumblestix instead?..or a pants day?....we need a more mature mature approach when watching 22 blokes kick around an inflated pigs bladder.

Inflated plastic these days (actually that description sounds a bit like a Chelsea fan).

What's wrong with the band? Providing support for the team that no other country does?

At least the South Africans are considering banning them after complaints from the fans and the media companies

hope so. it's got to the point where the volume has to go off now. oxf*rd horrible sound, and has ruined the chance of any real atmosphere in the stands thus far. the only time I head the fans last night was when both scored, and some booing near the end i think when wright-philips had the ball.

Really don't see the problem. Adds to the atmosphere.

The constant drone of those things doesn't seem to add to the atmosphere. Tbh, I'd rather have them all drumming, at least there'd be some semblence of rhythm.

Row Z Royal Adds to the atmosphere.

it doesn't though does it? it's just an overwhelming annoying buzzing sound that drowns out any noise from real supporters that want to get behind their team.

Having watched last year's Confederations Cup tournie, and (very) infrequent internationals being played in South Africa, vuvuzelas seems to be very much part of the scene, so surely by getting rid of them you end up with a homongenised World Cup from anywhere rahter than one in South Africa.

Don't like them? Can't hear the England fans band? Can't hear the commentary? What a shame.

It's the South African's world cup so they get to have them. I hate them and hope we never see them anywhere else ever again. Stupid whining awful drone.

I'm half expecting an RFC one to be available in the megastore or handed out free a la Rumblestix.

Ban them now please, they don't add anything, they AREN'T musical instruments, they AREN'T part of the culture of any country apart from South Africa, they AREN'T adding anything to the atmosphere and they SHOULD be broken over the head of Sepp Blatter.

And where is this World Cup being held?

What for 2018? Ban drunk skin-headed cnuts singing about the war and each others' Mums? Ban ridiculously attractive women in bikinis for Brazil 2014?

You don't like the horns? Tough shit.
