RFCMod Great result for Farnborough but spoilt by lads on the pitch after the final whistle

...has been mentioned over on the NLM forum but it would appear there were some degrees of excessive aggravation at all of the SL PO Finals yesterday :
- bar Winchester v Bristol M-F from what I've read so far ... and even there, the pitch-side temporary drinks outlet got a bit boisterous with a few chairs and plastic glasses flying about. They've been accused of being rather 'economic' with their official attendance figure too :? - 1,023 tagged as 'laughable'.
A pitch-side barrier collapsed alongside the goal very near the end, as City grabbed their 4th.

- the Peterboro v Coalville (SLP-Central) PO had an extended 45 min HT whilst sets of supporters were kept apart - seemingly nowhere near enough stewards - but then neither side had a history of umpty that i was aware of?

There were also unpleasant incidents reported at Ware (v North Leigh) - surprised they had more than a bus-load of visiting fans as it was 8) (?) and as above at Hayes & Yeading.

For the semi final we were concerned about a wall that the kids were up against....

Same wall for the final, down it goes and bodies everywhere. Cant locate pic where i saw it on Twitter.

Anybody know why Brackley appeared to crumble in the last few weeks of the season? I can see them missing out.

Yeah, Brackley are perennial play-off losers.

Think B-Cubed is our man-on-the-ground to answer your question

Don't think they've crumbled as such. Gateshead have been phenomenal and its been some effort to catch them at all. They have two 25 plus goalscorers, I think, which is a massive advantage. In the end their consistency was too much for Brackley.

It's so difficult with only one going straight up and Brackley can be pretty pleased with their season. Comfortably in second

I always had a niggling doubt that they'd make it and for some reason feel Kidderminster could come out of the pack to nick it.

But the play off system gives 2nd place less games and home advantage In this League. So there's hope yet!

Same with Dorking who were the best team in their league

Manager is a massive cock though

Has anyone seen the supposed racism from the Beckenham Town groundsman. Now appears that the video has been edited by the people who were renting the pitch... What a mess

4hrs 6mins one way. So not quite as bad, but still not ideal!

plus the usual traffic, and stopping off, probably pushing 5 hours 45 minutes

and Truro had or have a goalscorer that scored a stupid amount of goals ? Not sure if he still plays but I remember him scoring 60 a year. Stuart Sedden?

Might be Stewart Yetton? Scored 219 goals in 309 league appearances for Truro between 2005 and 2013. He is now player/assistant manager at Truro but hasn’t made any league appearances for a couple of seasons so is obviously concentrating on the management side.

Bracknell have played league games against Truro before, back in 2008/9 when Bracknell were reprieved from relegation from the Southern League Division One South and West.

And they’ll be renewing some other acquaintencies as well from that 2008/9 season; Winchester (who saved Bracknell from the one relegation place by having a goal difference that was 1 goal worse), North Leigh, Beaconsfield Town (Beaconsfield SYCOB back then) and Gosport. Surprisingly, given the closeness of the 2 clubs, I think it might be Bracknell’s first league games v Hartley Wintney next season.

Sutekh Surprisingly, given the closeness of the 2 clubs, I think it might be Bracknell’s first league games v Hartley Wintney next season.

...could well be - quickly gone back thru the readily available record (FCHD) and they've not competed in the same league since HW came out of the County Leagues in the late 70s

Just two meetings in this period too - 1 each in FA Cup 03/04 and Vase 13/14 both at Larges La with a win apiece.

... no regular NL preview this W/E - the National League final league fixtures are tomorrow Sunday 15th.

Aldershot Town v Wealdstone
Altrincham v Yeovil Town
Barnet v Bromley
Boreham Wood v Solihull Moors
Chesterfield v Woking
Dagenham & Redbridge v Wrexham -
real clash of thunder here - Wrecsam MUST win and hope Stockport lose at home to the Shaymen, to nick the top spot .... but equally D&R are fighting to dislodge Chesterfield from the last PO spot.
Other PO places are held by : Solihull, FC Halifax, Notts Co & Grimsby

Dover Athletic v Weymouth
Eastleigh v Grimsby Town
Maidenhead United v Notts County
Southend United v Torquay United
Stockport County v FC Halifax Town - after a close midweek win over Torquay, in front of a c. 9.5k crowd, a point would now be enough for Cobras/Hatters to seal the title and return to the FL after 10 years - 6 of these spent at STEP02

... and the STEP02 POs continue at S-F stage (and all ticket I believe)

NATN
Brackley v York
[Sun] AFC Fylde v Boston
NATS
Dorking W v Oxford City
[Sun] Ebbsfleet v Chippenham Town

...and one other game of note today ....
CCL-1 Cup S-F @ Sandhurst thought I'd seen this was a 14:00 KO but both clubs twitters state 15:00 so might be worth checking?
Berks County v British Airways
