How is Sid Gbla looking? He's extremely highly rated at the club, we will do well to keep him long.

He has scored 2( they lead 2-1) at HT. One was a pen other well taken. He doesn’t look that much better than the rest to be honest. Yately looked good early on in difficult conditions.

Wealdstone 0-1 Maidenhead United (Nathaniel-George on 76')

Maidenhead beat a 10 man Wealdstone to climb 4 places to 12th in the National League, they're now 7 points clear of the relegation places and 8 points shy of the play offs.

Next 3 games:

    Boreham Wood (a) (16th)
    Halifax Town (a) (10th)
    Oldham Athletic (h) (8th)

Truro City have announced that they are now playing their remaining home games this season at Taunton Town because of problems with the pitch at Plymouth Parkway. Truro will be returning to play in their home city in the 24/25 season.

Sutekh Bracknell won away

...only the 3rd on the road in the League - first against a side NOT in the bottom four - previously Harrow B (twice incl FA Cup tie) & Dorchester.
In Season 22-23 they registered 14 away wins in the League and by this time last year had already reached 7, along with 4 victories in Cup/Trophy ties.

____________________________________________________________________________
here's this w/e's NL feature...

EDIT Sat AM - some failed Inspections/ongoing waterlogging issues

Saturday 17th February

FA Vase 5th Round - ties delayed from last w/e
Highworth Town v Great Wakering Rovers - winners to host Falmouth Town in the Quarters - scheduled for w/e 9th March.
- North Greenford will host Romford and Worcester City will face Emley at a venue tba
- most probably either Sixways or Malvern Town unless their (current) permanent roost at Claines Lane dries out fully.

Hallam v Lincoln United - drawn at home to the winners of the tie below
Bridgwater United v Deal Town

NAT
17:30 Aldershot Town v Altrincham - live on TNT2 - Sh!ts humbled 0-5 on Tuesday at the (W)Rec :? - by lowly Fylde - home side down to 10 men around the half-hour mark.
- Cian Harris dismissed after complaining about a foul in the build-up to the 2nd.

Ebbsfleet United v Eastleigh
FC Halifax Town v Woking
Kidderminster Harriers v Dorking Wanderers - 'Wanderers' grabbed a very late winner at York on Tuesday to haul themselves out of the bottom four
Maidenhead United v Oldham Athletic - 'Magpies' beaten 1-2 at Halifax - winner on 98'
Oxford City v Southend United
Wealdstone v Gateshead
NATN
Brackley Town v Peterborough Sports
Buxton v Banbury United
NATS

Coalville Town v Hitchin Town
Needham Market v Long Eaton United
Redditch United v Berkhamsted
Royston Town v Mickleover
Stourbridge v Leiston
SLP-S
Bracknell Town v Dorchester Town
Didcot Town v Beaconsfield Town - 'Diddy' battling away for survival: won 2-1 at HandY midweek - 2nd half goals from Bennett and Carnell having trailed at H/T
- crowd was 258. Now level on points with Harrow B but both are 9 points from safety.

Gosport Borough v Salisbury
Hayes & Yeading United v AFC Totton
Hendon v Hungerford Town
Plymouth Parkway P-P Merthyr Town
Poole Town v Basingstoke Town
Sholing v Chesham United
Swindon Supermarine v Harrow Borough
Walton & Hersham v Tiverton Town
Winchester City v Hanwell Town
SL1-C
AFC Dunstable v Kidlington - Kiddy grabbed a creditable point H vs leaders Bedford Town on Wed - took the lead on 82'
- Eagles salvaged a point on 88' to stay three ahead of 'Nor Lye'.

Aylesbury United v Cirencester Town
Leighton Town v Thame United
Stotfold v Kings Langley

Leatherhead v Marlow
14:00 Metropolitan Police v Guernsey

Westfield v Badshot Lea

CCL-PN

Chalfont St Peter
v Ardley United

Wallingford & Crowmarsh v Wokingham & Emmbrook
CCL-PS
12:30 Knaphill v Jersey Bulls - 2nd vs 4th
Abbey Rangers v Tooting & Mitcham United
Alton v Horley Town
Balham v Sheerwater
Camberley Town
v Epsom & Ewell
Cobham v Fleet Town
Colliers Wood United v Farnham Town - Farnham now 22 wins from 22. Record charge ought not to be stalled visiting bottom-placed CWU
The latest (2-0) win vs E&E played at Cobham on Tuesday, has caused somewhat of an NL debate.
- Some are questioning whether the win over the 'Salts', sets a new record at the upper end of the NL Pyramid, for most consecutive wins from start of a completed season.
- It breaks a record (of 21 wins) held since 03/04 by AFC Wimbledon in their post-re-formed charge back up the leagues.
- Much digging about in the archives, has ensued but as with the 'History of Football' and the birth of the Premier League, it's proving complex to know where comparisons, relating to the current structure of NL, should begin.
- 'Bulls' managed 27 during a recent VIDS fore-shortened campaign apparently?

Redhill v Guildford City
Tadley Calleva
P-P AFC Croydon Athletic
CCL-1
Bedfont v Bagshot
Berks County
v London Colney
Brook House v Westside
Eversley & California v Amersham Town - the 'Wild Boars' host the league leaders, have eased 4-0 past Westside during the week, to stay 5th
FC Deportivo Galicia v Molesey
Holmer Green v Spartans Youth
Langley v London Samurai Rovers
Oxhey Jets v British Airways
Windsor v Penn & Tylers Green
Woodley United P-P Hillingdon Borough
Yateley United v Rising Ballers Kensington - Yateley beat Langley 4-1 in midweek and are 3rd behind Berks Co and Amersham

HELL- P
Royal Wootton Bassett Town v Wantage Town - RWBT won big on Tue, 4-0 vs Longlevens
HELL-1
{FRI Result} Southam United 0-4 Abingdon United
Cheltenham Saracens v Long Crendon - LC grabbed a 2nd win on the spin, impressive 1-0 vs Shortwood at Court Place (Oxford City) in midweek.
Climbed above Chipping Sodbury and are two places and points from safety but have played 4-5 games or more than those around them now.

SSM-P
Aylesbury Vale Dynamos v London Lions - Haywood Way still far too wet - switched to Lions' Maccabi Sports Ground up nr Barnet
- for some odd scheduling reason it would seem Lions weren't due to be at home again until the end of March?

WESS-P
Andover New Street P-P Hamble Club
Brockenhurst v Petersfield Town
WESS-1
AFC Aldermaston v East Cowes Victoria
Ash United v Whitchurch United
Frimley Green
v Newport (IoW)
Ringwood Town v Andover Town
Romsey Town v Alresford Town
Verwood Town v Cove - Cove edged past Aldermaston 3-2 on Tue night, in a game that somehow beat the wet.
The home side stay 5th just in/on the fringes of the PO zone but a fair distance behind 1st to 4th.

TVL-P 14:00
BTC Senior Cup Reading YMCA v Windsor & Eton [The Cauldron Padworth RG7 4HS]

Anyone know what's changed at Fylde, seem to have suddenly gone from general whipping boys to steamrollering virtually anything that gets in their way? Since losing at Rochdale on Boxing Day they've won 6 and drawn 1 of the 7 league games they've played! They're now 17th and closing in on Maidenhead (now 14th) fast.

Maidenhead now seem to be returning to another slump in form. They're an odd side Maidenhead, always seems to be the same every season, a brightish start then the wheels fall off only for a tremendous mid season pick up in form followed by an end of season slump that sees them just escape relegation.

Not sure - seems the lower portion of the National League is a bit bunched up.
I read that Brett Ormerod's son , Danny aged 17, is hitting a rich scoring vein for them - though has only notched three - or four if you trust the Beeb's site over the league site - this year .
Nonetheless they are on a good run and are joint top with Chesterfield on form over the last 6 games 5 W 1 D and (as above) unbeaten this calendar year.
Host the 'Bees' (Barnet ) this w/e which could be quite a test, as the visitors are in 3rd.

FA national sunday cup 1/4s this Sunday

In for some real corkers I think , including the perennial teams from the Mersey Business Homes League (who do good every single year and dominate), and conquerors of FC BAPCO of RG, and winners 2 years ago BAITEZE (who best Highgate 2-0 on that final)

1 Belle Vue Rovers (Sunderland) v Home Bargains (Liverpool)
2 Pineapple (Liverpool) v Trooper (Birmingham)
3 Baiteze Squad (East London) v AFC Hackleton (Northamptonshire)
4 Market Hotel (Kent) v Highgate Albion (North London)

Risborough Rangers 5-0 Wembley
Virginia Water 1-0 Edgware & Kingsbury
Wallingford & Crowmarsh 0-0 Wokingham & Emmbrook – att 92
nipped up for this : my first 0-0 in quite a while :| – defences on top (evidently) but neither side really threatened to break the stalemate.
A point doesn’t really do either of them any good as they were sat 18th and 20th before KO.
I believe only one side may be relegated this season though – but that’s based upon FT FullTime so hardly that reliable: bit early to speculate but NLM does still show two clubs dropping from N&S.
- I'd suspect only 2 to be promoted from Div One - so could depend upon relegation 'allocations' coming down from STEP04?
Entertaining PM tho’ - chatting away to another couple of very ‘local’ hoppers and some other club 'notaries' I recognized
8)

CCL-PS
Knaphill 0-2 Jersey Bulls att 220 ‘Bulls’ goals on 73’ and 99’
Abbey Rangers 0-2 Tooting & Mitcham United
Alton 5-0 Horley Town
Balham 2-1 Sheerwater
Camberley Town
1-2 Epsom & Ewell
Cobham 2-0 Fleet Town
Colliers Wood United 0-1 Farnham Town - 23 wins from 23 – but on first glance this appears to be closer than expected – seeing as CWU were well adrift at the bottom.
- winner eventually came on 85'.
Not seen a report yet – this kind of record run does tend to attract it’s share of ‘Anoraks’ who like to post their reports on NLM. :P
– maybe the pressure of keeping up the 100% is affecting Farnham: next up on 24th, a local derby vs Fleet?

Redhill 5-1 Guildford City
CCL-1
Bedfont 6-1 Bagshot
Berks County
1-1 London Colney
Brook House 1-0 Westside
Eversley & California 1-2 Amersham Town
FC Deportivo Galicia 1-2 Molesey
Holmer Green 0-5 Spartans Youth
Langley 1-7 {SEVEN} London Samurai Rovers – bit of shock here for PO chasing Langley
- last season’s record goalscorer, Morrison Hashii, has returned to Samurai from a spell up at Basingstoke (possibly dual-registered?) but he only notched the opener c. 10’ for the mid-table visitors here – no red cards either that might have accounted for such a rout? A brief TwiX interview implies they just didn’t compete?

Oxhey Jets 1-3 British Airways
Windsor 1-2 Penn & Tylers Green
Yateley United 0-3 Rising Ballers Kensington - another shock reverse from one of the contenders near the top

HELL- P
Royal Wootton Bassett Town 3-0 Wantage Town

Was just about to post that

Watched the baiteze game, very bad tempered game with 3 red cards but some lovely football on show

That team that beat them are very very good, alot of them play for Rushden and diamonds fc (or whatever they're called now)

If i had the money - Newport IOW would be on my list to buy. Sleeping giant with the population size of the island and just such low ranked football on there. They were close in the 90's and fallen away, lost ground and now playing at East Cowes Vics. Anyway, new ground step closer and return to the capital.

This is a bit of a joke in that its so similar to the ground they lost to developers.

actually - scrap that - they have revised plans - cost saving - its going to be this shambolic main stand instead compared to the offering above it.
