Re: The Non - League thread

Royals and Racers Binfield have moved Tuesday night’s home match to Ascot Utd’s 3 g pitch.
,

...makes sense. I've not checked the forecast but expect damage done to a lot of pitches now, with so many weeks of constant downpours soaking everywhere to a bog and piling up the fixtures.

On a positive note I popped along to a Sunday game this AM @ Scours : Tilehurst Charity Cup S-F - Final ought to be at the SCL in mid May ...... and the pitch itself played OK - very boggy surrounds tho and the outside areas still looked saturated.

{GC United bt Englefield Eagles 5-4 on pens after the game ended 1-1. Other S-F due at Rivermoor in a couple of weeks: BAPCO vs 116 Exiles - same sides met in the league today - BAPCO winning 7-1}

....and Plymouth's 'Home' game this PM vs Supermarine in the SLP-S at Bulpit La (Hungerford) ended 4-1 to Parkway, which drops Tiverton and Hayes & Yeading into some bother.....

Will try and get the main Review done early this week, providing I can get access to working machine.

...unsegregated and entry via York Rd or the 'Bell End' 8)

... and in case you don't notice immediately :? 'Magpies' have been requested to play in their blue change kit?

I'm (probably) playing the 3G card tonight - as well as grabbing a third/quarter tick at Ascot for 'Moles' vs SCR

Decent performance from the Magpies ( 3-1) which should have secured their National league place for another season. I was surprised how many ‘ Monkey Hangers ‘ supporters were there- must have been over 150.
My mate went to Stag Meadow to see Virginia Water v Wokingham & Embrook. In a bad tempered game W & E won 3-0

The FA have decided that the Slough v Bath match that was abandoned following a medical emergency in the crowd will not be replayed and the score of 4-2 to Slough will stand. It appears that the FA are laying the blame fully at Bath’s door for the match not re-starting on the day.

Good decision. Bath probably deserve a points deduction for refusing to continuing playing though.

Truro drew at home 0-0 v Eastbourne last night. They have to play again tonight v Yeovil. This stupid madness at these levels really should be stopped and seasons allowed to be extended.

Wokingham & Embrook have matches next Monday and Tuesday and then not playing until the Saturday- i’m told they had no choice in the matter. Just sheer madness !!!

..slightly lower down the chain Clanfield '85 FC nr Radcot (between Swindon/Witney) had 3 games scheduled for this week Tue-Wed-Thu - 2 Hellenic league games at home, either side of a Memorial Cup S-F at Faringdon - just down the road from them.

Unsurprisingly they've pulled out of the Cup S-F tie that they'd qualified for last Aug - so now Letcombe get a bye to next weeks Final.

Yeovil clinched the National league South title when they beat Truro 2-0 at Gloucester City’s ground last night. Yeovil had 1103 fans whereas Truro and neutrals mustered 135 :D

Reading City dd their bit to 'help' the 'Sumas' last night too with relatively straightforward win 1-0 @ Chalfont St P.
I popped over there - not been for c. 10 yrs but v.little had changed. The club are in a pretty sorry state on & off the field.
Only 37 paying souls :? too......

Sadly Wok & Emm. flopped 0-1 @ Lowther Rd v Broadfields.

City still in with a whisper for a PO spot

Torquay docked another point for fielding an ineligible player.
The Weymouth v Yeovil match abandoned after a medical emergency in the crowd will not be replayed and Weymouth ( leading 1-0) are given the win.

I suppose that's because Yeovil are already promoted and Weymouth won't care as they're the beneficiaries!

Unlikely to dislodge Merthyr though as the Welsh have a game in hand, to go along with their vastly superior GD, and next week Bracknell have to take their less than spectacular away record to play the champions Chesham.

London Sunday cup today

Already in the final are YouTube team SE Dons, who beat the unbeaten Barnet League champions Olympia fc 3-2 (I will post the videos soon)

In the other semi final are another YouTube team called Baiteze (who I spoken about above and who won the fa sunday cup a few years ago)

They play the winner of today's game between mehmetik gala and somebody else I forgotten (I have no idea what leagues they're in or anything about them)

But se dons vs baiteze if it is the final will be an absolute madness game
