Not worried in the slightest! - neither of them have even the faintest hint of ginger about them.

I agree with scar face.
If Lita and Shorey choose to go ... we're in no small amount of bother.
We should be more concerned, no?

Would we be more concerned if Doyle and Sonko were to go ?

Or if Kitson and Ivar left ?

Should we be concerned that Murty and Harper may quit ?

Is it a worry that Mate and Cox may get better offers ?

How do we decide which situation ranks top of our 'pointless exercise in worrying' list ?

assign them all numbers then pull the numbers out of the hat
1st is the most worrying?

or it doesnt have to be a hat
it could be a tombola?

Are you in North or South Wales Cymraeg Royal?

Personally more concerned with Shorey going than Leroy but we have only recently moved up the football food chain and we are not, and never will be immune from bigger boys stealing our best toys!

Only difference is we are are bigger than we were five years ago and can inflict the misery on more clubs than ever before of nicking their best players...imagine how Brizzle City feel...first Murray (ok it didnt work out but we sent him back as slightly soiled goods), then Leroy and now we are rumoured to be after Skuse.

From a West Ham fan who is Shorey's mate

"He's not chasing money. Sure, Reading are substantially upping his wages, but he knows he could get more if he went elsewhere. He's staying because he likes it there, the team's doing well and he feels like he owes them."

South, west of Cardiff.

If this is true, I want to be Mr and Mrs Shorey's future offspring's Godfather!

Sky Sport News just said that West Ham and Newcastle are interested in Shorey as he hasn't signed his contract.

Obviously the fact that he is in Korea doesn't matter.

And just because he hasn't been offered a contract yet doesn't mean he wants to go.

What I've gathered is that they're still in preliminary talks as there have been a few interruptions (England game, holiday etc etc).

They can be as interested as they like, they wont get anywhere near Shorey IF the club don't want to sell = so who cares?

Exactly why he'll probably leave us. West Ham will finish above us next season, they certainly have more ambition.

I'm sure our ambition matches theirs! Our spending power is in a lower league though.

after a few quiet days this is back

from football365

The Daily Express says West Ham are ready to make a £5m bid for Reading and Ingerland left-back Nicky Shorey.

Steve Coppell insisted a couple of weeks ago that he wouldn't sell Shorey, but is yet to offer him a new contract. Both West Ham and Newcastle are apparently willing to double his wages.
