I know I seem to be in the miniority, but I reckon Lita would smash them in next season.

Can't say that Riorden fills me with much excitement.

I agree that Lita will score a decent amount of goals this season if he gets enough games and we're creating a fair amount of chances. Two big if's at the moment though.

In about 20 odd apps over the 2 seasons though.

In his last season at Hibs he got 20. Was bought up by Celtic as part of the Old Firm's "if they're decent & Scottish then no-one else can have them policy" - which pretty much always ends up with said player being bit part at best.

Was considered a very exciting talent at Hibs and I wouldn't be upset if he signed.

Yep, along with the likes of Stephen Pearson I just don't think those kind of players they picked up have ever gone on to fulfil the potential though. Might well be good enough for the Championship though.

The way he was leading the applause for the fans at the end of the Derby game makes me think that maybe he will stay. Probably reading too much into it, but the fact that the likes of Shorey disappeared straight down the tunnel while Lita was gathering everyone up to thank the fans just seemed like he did really care. That combined with Coppell praising him at every opportunity once he returned from charlton might suggest that things have turned around.

Then again I'm usually wrong...

I remain unconvinced that there ever was a falling out between Lita and Coppell or any bad blood.

Him not playing and being shipped out on loan whilst in poor form, whilst Coppell showed loyalty to two players more likely to contribute more than just goals to the team, doesn't mean there was a problem.

Obviously he's had his problems, or which I have been a critic, but if he can keep his nose clean, i'm happy for him to stay. I honestly don't think Coppell would let what was happening cause bad blood.

I too would like Lita to stay but his future really does need to be sorted now. We don't want him leaving on a free in a year's time, especially if he is not going to feature in the starting line up much this year.

Leroy is worth £5m max to us in the transfer market - Or £60m+ if he bangs the goals in for us that get us promoted.

And then if he leaves for nothing, I'd have no complaints.

I 'd wager that the club will resist any offers for his services unless we have someone else lined up and theres big cash in it for us. We all know what he's capable of, its just consistancy that he lacks. Perhaps his experiences from last season - an excellent U21 tourny, followed by his abject loss of form, his 'sex video' -(LOL) - in the national press, and finally being loaned out at the business end of the season have been food for thought - he is getting older, maybe with Coppells infuence, wiser?

I now eagerly await the uber murking I'll receive when the OS reports Leroys gone to Hull for £11m..!

The notion of Lita banging in the goals to get us promoted and then leaving on a free with everyone happy only works if he is going to be in the team.
There is no point in him spending his last year in the reserves. We'll soon see what Coppell's thinking is on this.

DR? well yh he's a good player up north but whether he can transfer that to the EC is another case. Hopefully if he comes, it'll lighten things up in the striker department. New faces are welcome as long they do their job, PROPERLY
